Most Popular FPL Picks for Gameweek 38

If you have little clue as to who the highest owned players going into the final round are, then you are in the right place. Here we take a look at the Top 10 Most Popular FPL Picks for Gameweek 38, counting down from 10th to 1st.

Player ownership has become a major part of the game, so knowing which players have the most ownership can be hugely significant when making decisions, so let’s get stuck in!

6th-10th

Most Popular FPL Picks for Gameweek 38

Maintaining 10th position is Liverpool’ Virgil Van Dijk (£6.7m). The Dutch centre-back faces FA Cup winners Crystal Palace at home this week. With spirits high, the Eagles could well cause an upset to the Liverpool clean sheet.

Breaking back into the top 10 after some time out, Morgan Rogers (£5.8m) claims ninth place. Aston Villa face an out of form Manchester United side up next, which could be a great opportunity for Rogers to hit a third successive return.

Arsenal centre-back William Saliba (£6.5m) maintains his ownership. The Frenchman picked up an injury in the previous round, so we could see his ownership dip. Arsenal face Southampton next up, so if fit he could even increase in ownership.

A clean sheet in Gameweek 37 and Southampton next up could mean David Raya (£5.5m) picking up more owners this week. The Spaniard faces the worst attack in the league this week statistically, so he could be a great option.

In at sixth and moving up from eighth on the previous round is Nottingham Forest penalty taker Chris Wood (£7.2m). Wood has had an exceptional season – scoring a huge 20 goals. This week his side need a win to secure Champions League football for next season, and Wood could well help secure it against Chelsea.

5th – 35% Ownership

Cole Palmer (£10.5m) has gained some ownership since Gameweek 37, but not enough for him to push himself up the list. The Chelsea talisman has scored just one goal since Gameweek 21, which is a major concern. However, in a must-win game against Nottingham Forest away this week? Will he steer his side into the Champions League qualification spots?

4th – 37.8% Ownership

Most Popular FPL Picks for Gameweek 38

Cementing his position as the most popular defender in the game, Josko Gvardiol (£6.5m) gains another 1%+ ownership since the last round. The Croatian has produced four returns in his previous six matches, so goes into the Gameweek 38 fixture against an inconsistent Fulham in good form.

3rd – 46.9% Ownership

Increasing by around 2% ownership is Brentford man Bryan Mbeumo (£8.3m). The penalty taking midfielder goes into his next game against Wolves in great form – returning in each of his last three matches. He has a fantastic opening to continue that form up against a poor Wolves defence next.

2nd – 56.9% Ownership

Most Popular FPL Picks for Gameweek 38

Newcastle striker Alexander Isak (£9.5m) has lost a huge 4% of his popularity since the last round. Most of this could be due to the fact he didn’t feature at all in Gameweek 37. FPL managers will be monitoring news around his injury status up until the deadline, especially with Everton up next.

1st – 66.9% Ownership

Mohamed Salah (£13.6m) dropped another 2%+ ownership this week, but that isn’t anywhere near enough to knock him off his perch. Crystal Palace lay ahead for champions Liverpool, so the game could go either way for the highest scoring player in FPL.
