Most Popular FPL Picks for Gameweek 36

If you have little clue as to who the highest owned players going into the new round are, then you are in the right place. Here we take a look at the Top 10 Most Popular FPL Picks for Gameweek 36, counting down from 10th to 1st.
Player ownership has become a major part of the game, so knowing which players have the most ownership can be hugely significant when making decisions, so let’s get stuck in!
6th-10th

Just about maintaining 10th place for now is Virgil Van Dijk (£6.7m). Liverpool recently conceded three goals to Chelsea, and this week they face Arsenal, which could be another limiting game for their backline. You’d expect Van Dijk’ backing to decrease as we approach the deadline.
Just ahead of Van Dijk in ninth, Chris Wood (£7m) has a fantastic opportunity this week. The Nottingham Forest striker faces Leicester, who rank among the worst sides in the league for total goals conceded. Don’t be surprised to see Wood’ ownership rocket this week.
Gaining under 1% ownership is Omar Marmoush (£7.6m). The Egyptian has been extremely frustrating recently – failing to return in his previous three outings. However, this week he clashes with Southampton who have been woeful defensively.
Coming in at seventh and six respectively is Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya (£5.6m) and centre-back William Saliba (£6.6m). Arsenal have kept just one clean sheet in their last five league matches, and this week they come up against Liverpool.

5th – 34% Ownership

Crashing down to 5th, and losing even more ownership this week, Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer (£10.5m) continues to nosedive in popularity. Palmer scored in the Blues 3-1 win against Liverpool in the latest round, which could give him confidence going into the clash with Newcastle.
4th – 34.1% Ownership

Our biggest climber since the the previous round is Josko Gvardiol (£6.4m). The Manchester City defender has become the highest owned defender in the game as of late. A game against Southampton gives owners a very good opening for him to produce both defensive and offensive returns.
3rd – 42.4% Ownership

Brentford midfielder Bryan Mbeumo (£8.2m) has added a huge 6% ownership since the previous round. This could well increase even more as a game against Ipswich lies ahead. The Tractor Boys continue to produce poor defensive stats and Mbeumo looks set for success.
2nd – 62.1% Ownership

Newcastle striker Alexander Isak (£9.6m) appears to have cemented his position in second ahead of Gameweek 36. Isak heads into an all-important clash for his side against Chelsea with returns in four of his previous five, so will be heavily relied upon to help them secure points.
1st – 70.6% Ownership

Dominating at the top, and the most popular player in the entire game is of course Liverpool’ Mohamed Salah (£13.8m). The Egyptian midfielder has been hit and miss recently. Arsenal next could also prove tough competition for Liverpool.
