1. Mohamed Salah – 72.4% Ownership
Mohamed Salah (£13.8m) continues to grow in ownership. With a whopping 16 double-digit hauls this season already, the Egyptian isn’t far off the all-time FPL scoring record. This week could be a perfect opportunity to add another haul against a woeful Southampton defence.
2. Cole Palmer – 60% Ownership
Dropping close to 1% of his ownership since the previous round is Cole Palmer (£11.1m). The Chelsea penalty taker has returned just once in his previous six matches. But, with Leicester up next, one of the worst defences in the league, we could see a return to form for Palmer.
3. Alexander Isak – 56.4% Ownership
Another player dropping in popularity is Alexander Isak (£9.5m). Newcastle have lost three of their previous four matches in the league and their star man failed to start in Gameweek 27 due to injury. Monitoring news around his injury status will be key for FPL managers ahead of the next round.

Nottingham Forest striker Chris Wood (£7.2m) lost another 1% in ownership since Gameweek 27. In the eight matches prior to the previous round, Wood had returned in a huge seven. Manchester City lay ahead this week, which could be limiting for his potential.
5. Bryan Mbeumo – 40.5% Ownership
Bryan Mbeumo (£8m) has gained a huge 3% in popularity since the previous round. The Brentford attacker has collected a huge 19 points in his last two matches, and this week meets with a ropey Aston Villa defence at home.

Another player who has risen by around 1% in ownership is Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.4m). Alexander-Arnold has been in fine scoring form recently – banking a return in five of his previous six matches. Southampton ahead should see him add to his run.
Rising up to seventh from ninth since last week, Justin Kluivert (£6.1m) is becoming more and more popular. Bournemouth have endured a tricky period recently – losing three of their last four matches. Even during that period, the Dutchman has averaged around five points per game.
Arsenal centre-back Gabriel (6.3m) may have dropped down to eighth, but his ownership has barely shifted. The fixtures get tricky for Arsenal soon, but a match against an inconsistent Manchester United could have more potential than it may appear on paper.
Ola Aina (£5.4m) appears to be on a downhill trajectory when it comes to popularity. The Nottingham Forest full-back has banked just two returns in his previous five matches, and faces Manchester City at home this week.
