Taking a look at the most popular FPL picks for Gameweek 27 can be hugely enlightening for fantasy managers. Knowing who the majority are selecting within their sides can help you make moves in your team ahead of the new round.
Note: Ownership statistics will inevitably change throughout the week
1. Mohamed Salah – 71.9% Ownership

Consistently gaining ownership week on week, without let up, is Mohamed Salah (£13.7m). The Liverpool talisman has been in sensational form recently – hitting three double-digit hauls in his previous four matches. This week the Egyptian clashes with a tough Newcastle side at home.
2. Cole Palmer – 60.8% Ownership

Dropping another 2% ownership, similarly to the previous week, Cole Palmer (£11.1m) appears to be becoming less and less popular. With just one return in his last four matches, at the time of writing, FPL managers appear to be getting frustrated, However, he faces the worst defence in the league next, so selling ahead of this week could be a huge mistake.
3. Alexander Isak – 57.8% Ownership

Another player who appears to be dropping in terms of ownership is Newcastle striker Alexander Isak (£9.5m). Isak blanked in both of his recent games against Fulham and Manchester City, and faces Liverpool next up, one of the best defences in the league this season.
4. Chris Wood – 45% Ownership

Chris Wood (£7.2m) is another player who hasn’t got it easy from a fixture perspective. The Nottingham Forest penalty taker has been in fine form this season, and has added close to 1% ownership since last week. However, Arsenal have maintained excellent underlying defensive data this campaign, so the clash could be limiting for his potential.
5. Bryan Mbeumo – 37.5% Ownership

Brentford midfielder Bryan Mbeumo (£8m) has added over 2% ownership since the previous round. This comes as no surprise due his easing schedule. Mbeumo bagged a huge 14 points in Gameweek 26 due to his goal and assist, and he takes that form into a home match against an improving Everton side.
The Rest of the Top 10

Maintaining sixth place is Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.4m). Prior to Gameweek 26, the Liverpool full-back managed at least one return in five of his previous six matches, and this week he faces a tough home match against Newcastle.
Gaining over 1% ownership since Gameweek 26, Arsenal centre-back Gabriel (£6.3m) takes over Morgan Rogers in seventh. The Brazilian may have his work cut out this week as he tries to prevent Nottingham Forest and star striker Chris Wood from scoring.
Bursting into the top 10 for the first time this season is midfielder and penalty taker Justin Kluivert (£6m). Bournemouth have been in excellent scoring form recently, partly due to their fantastic Dutchman, and an away trip to Brighton could see that continue.
Nottingham Forest full-back Ola Aina (£5.4m) has dropped slightly in terms of popularity, but not enough to see him kicked out of the top 10. His ownership is likely to nose dive over the coming weeks due to tough fixtures. His torrid run ahead begins with a meeting against Arsenal.
Erling Haaland (£14.7m) hangs onto 10th place, despite dropping some of his ownership. That may be the case but the Manchester City powerhouse has scored in each of his previous matches, at the time of writing. Tottenham away next could be another great opportunity to see him add to his recent run.
