Taking a look at the most popular FPL picks for Gameweek 15 can be hugely enlightening for fantasy managers. Knowing who the majority are selecting within their sides can help you make moves in your team ahead of the new round.
Note: Ownership statistics will inevitably change throughout the week
1. Mohamed Salah – 59.7% Ownership
Furthering his lead ahead of every other player by around 4% on last week, Mohamed Salah (£13.2m) remains the most popular player in the game. The highest scoring player in FPL so far faces Everton next up, which could be a good opportunity to continue his excellent start to the campaign.
2. Cole Palmer – 58.4% Ownership
Just behind Salah, and also gaining around 4% ownership since last week is Chelsea’ Cole Palmer. With eight goals and six assists so far this season, Palmer goes into his next match against London rivals Tottenham in top form.
3. Erling Haaland – 46.4% Ownership
Slipping down the list is Erling Haaland (£15m). The Manchester City striker has lost around 8% of his ownership since last week, marking one of the biggest changes this season. Haaland has managed just two goals in his last six matches, but faces Crystal Palace this week, which could see him back amongst the goals and assists.
4. Bukayo Saka – 38.5% Ownership
Moving into fourth place, and edging out Bryan Mbeumo, it’s no surprise that Arsenal midfielder Bukayo Saka (£10.4m) is attracting managers. Saka managed back-to-back double-digit hauls between Gameweek 12-13 and faces Fulham up next.
5. Bryan Mbeumo – 33.9% Ownership
It may not be long before Bryan Mbeumo (7.7m) slips out of the top five, after losing a huge 7% ownership since last week. The Brentford midfielder has returned just once in his previous four matches, which is a huge concern. This is especially the case when considering he faces increasingly difficult fixtures ahead, with a clash against Newcastle next.
The Rest of the Top 10
Tottenham full-back Pedro Porro is slowly making his way up the list. This may not be that much of a shock, when considering he recently scored and kept a clean sheet against Manchester City. Fulham will be hoping to stop his recent form, whilst owners hope for the opposite.
Arsenal defensive duo, goalkeeper David Raya and defender Gabriel, both remain. Arsenal are coming into a great period of fixtures now. This could mean plenty of clean sheet for the duo. We may even see their ownership increase over the coming weeks.
Bursting into the top 10 this week, Nicolas Jackson appears to be gaining major traction from the community. The Chelsea forward ranks amongst the top four players in the league for non-penalty expected goal involvement this season, showing just how dangerous he has been.
The final member of the top 10 most popular picks this week is Josko Gvardiol. Losing 3% ownership since last week, the Manchester City centre-back has banked back-to-back zero point returns in his last two rounds.
