Most Popular FPL Picks for Gameweek 11

Last modified date

In this article we take a look at the top 10 most popular FPL picks for Gameweek 11. Using the Official Fantasy Premier League ownership data we can find out who the fantasy football community are picking ahead of the new round.

Taking a look at the most popular FPL picks for Gameweek 11 can be hugely enlightening for fantasy managers. Knowing who the majority are selecting within their sides can help you make moves in your team ahead of the eighth round.

Note: Ownership statistics will inevitably change throughout the week

1. Erling Haaland – 67.1% Ownership

Most Popular FPL Picks for Gameweek 11

Although unmovable in first place, Erling Haaland (£15.3m) has dropped around 6% of his ownership in the space of a week. That number is likely to increase due to his questionable recent form and increasingly difficult fixtures. Brighton next however remains a good opportunity for the Norwegian to add to his season tally.

2. Cole Palmer – 53.9% Ownership

Cementing his place as the second most popular asset in the game ahead of Gameweek 11 is Cole Palmer (£11m). His slight dip in ownership is likely due to his recent injury, which he is yet to fully recover from. Monitoring news around his injury status could be key.

3. Mohamed Salah – 46.2% Ownership

Rising sharply week on week is Mohamed Salah (£12.8m) with 41.7% ownership. That number is very likely to increase as we approach the deadline. The Egyptian has been the most explosive asset in the game this season and is heading into a fair run of fixtures, starting with a home game against Aston Villa.

4. Bryan Mbeumo – 42.6% Ownership

Bryan Mbeumo

The biggest rise in ownership ahead of the new round could well be Bryan Mbeumo (£7.7m). The Brentford attacker has gained an additional 8% since last week due to his relentless form recently and a home match against Bournemouth next could be another fantastic opportunity for him to return.

5. Josko Gvardiol – 31.4% Ownership

Climbing into the top five is Josko Gvardiol (£6.3m). The Croatian has been impressing recently – scoring three times in his last six league matches. Brighton ahead could be another opportunity to continue his scoring form.

The Rest of the Top 10

Not far behind Gvardiol is Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7m) with 29.3% ownership. The Reds have a tough fixture against Aston Villa this week but go into the round having kept more clean sheets than any other side this season.

David Raya’s (£5.6m) recent drop out of the top five is no suprise given Arsenal’s defensive form. The Gooners failed to keep a single clean sheet in their last six league games, which has forced FPL managers to sell their expensive defensive assets.

Mid to higher priced defenders seem to be popular but that could soon change. Pedro Porro (£5.5m) has been disappointing recently, however, Ipswich lay ahead which could see him pick up a clean sheet, an attacking return or both.

Completing the top 10 is Fulham midfielder Emile Smith Rowe (£5.7m) and Arsenal midfielder Bukayo Saka (£10.1m).
