- Two matches this weekend so a DGW for NE, CLB, VAN and LA, but the international break is still going on this weekend.
- The International break matches end on Tuesday so many in the DGW will miss this first match.
- My focus is on teams who can better their playoff position, CLT, DC, MTL, NYC, LA, VAN are a few.
- CLT at DC could be a shootout so I’m going Swiderski and Bentenke.
- I’m going with two defender scrubs to get the best two out of three off the bench.
- I don’t love the DGW keeper situation but I will look at VAN off the bench.

- MID: Kai Wagner (PHI; 11.8m): With 180 points, Kai Wagner is the highest-scoring defender in the MLS. He has a lot of upside due to his frequent usage in open play and set pieces. The German winger leads Philadelphia with 10 assists, and he’s hit double-digit fantasy points in seven of eight Philadelphia’s DGWs this season (15, 19, 10, 10, 20, 11,13,9).
- FWD: Cucho Hernández (CLB; 14.7m): Cucho Hernández has been unstoppable this season. He has scored 15 goals and has eight assists in his last 16 games. Cucho, Diego Rossi, and Christian Ramirez, the attacking trio for the Crew, have a lot of potential and should be considered for your line-up this week.
- FWD: Messi (MIA; 16.2M); Lionel Messi wasted no time reminding fantasy managers that he’s a must-have player when he’s in the match day squad. The GOAT returned with two goals last gw.
- MID: Evander (POR: 18.2 M); Evander comes into the week fresh after scoring 16pts in Round 29. The Brazilian attacker is firmly in the Landon Donovan MVP conversation, and he’s the consensus MLS Fantasy MVP with 261 points. With the Portland Timbers in form, the stage is set for Evander to rack up another big score in Round 30.
