Notes
- NYCFC have a favourable home fixture against DC United this week, so I’ve gone with Matt Freese as my primary GK. Hugo Lloris is the only viable fallback ‘keeper this week, so he makes my squad by default.
- I’ve doubled up on the NYCFC and LAFC back lines, with Justin Haak and Eddie Segura both making the squad. My other defensive spots go to the attack-minded Bongi Hlongwane (providing he starts), Luca Orellano and Kai Wagner, with Wagner likely to get plenty of joy following DeAndre Yedlin’s departure. Orellano has missed the last couple of games with an injury but is day to day according to Pat Noonan, so I’m hopeful he’s available this weekend.
- In midfield, Hany Mukhtar and Đorđe Mihailović are locks, with the Nashville man taking the captaincy. Anders Dreyer, Evander and Carles Gil make up the rest of my midfield as things stand. All three are likely to be ‘chalk’ this week, although I’m not sold on any of them given their matchups. For that reason, I’m considering one or two bench differentials as replacements.
- Upfront, I’m happy running Alonso Martínez, Son Heung-min and Sam Surridge as my three forwards. I expect Surridge to do well but currently have him benched due to his low floor, although this will change should I go differential in midfield.

Notes
- In goal, I like Joe Willis on the front end of my keeperoo with a favourable home matchup against Atlanta United who’s been struggling this season. I also like Matt Freese as an option, the NYCFC goalkeeper is at home to DC United. My fallback is currently Hugo Lloris who’s at home to San Diego this week.
- In defence, I like Anthony Markanich and Bongi Hlongwane this week with both of them showing their offensive capabilities with nine goals and two assists between them. I also like Kai Wagner, the German fullback scored a massive 19 points last week courtesy of a goal and assist against Chicago Fire. He is up against a Cincinnati team who are scoreless in their last two home games. My final two defenders are Sergi Palencia and Manu Duah who can be used as scrubs should my bench hit.
- In midfield, Hany Mukhtar was an easy inclusion for me this week at home to Atlanta United and he’s very likely to be my captain for the round. I like Jack McGlynn and Marcel Hartel in midfield this week too as I can see a lot of goals between St.Louis and Houston. Djordje Mihailovic and Hannes Wolf also make my team with both of them having favourable home matchups against Dc United and Montreal respectively.
- Up front, I’ve doubled up on Nashville and NYCFC attack with Sam Surridge and Alonso Martinez making my team. My final forward spot is currently occupied by Heung-Min Son who’s been the preferred option between him and Bouanga in the few games they’ve played together.

Notes
- There is no Miami this week along with the other teams with mid-week matchups.
- There is also only one Sunday match, so I’m leaving the ability to scrub for a successful bench.
- I like the Nashville matchup this week.
- I feel like there should be goals in Phi and Cin, but have Wagner involved still right now.
- Son stays in, I’m tempted to captain but I think I’d rather captain Hany.

Notes
- The matchups this weekend are Nashville and NYC at home. I love their attack more than defence, which is why I’m on (C) Mukhtar, Surridge, Wolf and Martinez. Freeze and Najar are my way of getting into both defences.
- The only true fallback for defence is LAFC, which is why I have Hollingshead and Lloris.
- Son is a must own this week in my opinion.
- I think another solid option for a CS is Minnesota, which is why I’m doubled up on them. I would love to scrub one of them when my bench hits early, though.
- Gil and Evander also have solid matchups. Dreyer is mostly there as a late scrub option, but I could see him getting a goal involvement against what has become a fairly disappointing LAFC backline.
