@dmpwright
It’s especially important to watch line-ups this week, with several absences due to international duty. Round 5 is the first bye week of the season, with Inter Miami and the New England Revolution sitting out
One position I don’t mind continuing to cheap out is in goal. With that in mind, I’ve gone with Alec Smir and Evan Bush as my ‘keepers this week. I’m not expecting much from Smir, with Bush having a more realistic chance of a clean sheet given NYCFC’s absences.
Luca Orellano failed to deliver any Fantasy returns in Round 4. But, will once again be in my squad – albeit as a bench play – given Atlanta’s absences this week.
Charlotte have a decent chance of clean sheet this week, with Adilson Malanda a placeholder for whoever starts at left-back.
The rest of my defenders are value plays. Luca Bombino is a late-game Hail Mary should none of my bench hit.

Despite the absences, there still look to be plenty of options in midfield and attack. That’s where I’d look to spend funds this week. Evander, Hany Mukhtar and Albert Rusnák feel like chalk picks this week given their matchups, with Rusnák likely to be my captain.
Martín Ojeda also feels must own given Orlando’s home match up against DC United. The final midfield spot is a toss up between Anders Dreyer and Đorđe Mihailović. The latter shades it for me based on home fixture and matchup.
Upfront, Christian Benteke is a lock given his returns in the first four weeks of the season. My other two forward spots are up for grabs. I’ve currently gone for Rafael Navarro and Sam Surridge. Although, Gabriel Pec and Kelvin Yeboah are also in my thoughts

@Mahoney
Please check the International call-ups before setting your line-up, as many teams are missing players, including Atlanta with eight and Philly with seven.
I like CLT at home, even though they are missing Ream at LB and Big Pat up front, but I have still tripled up here. I’m still building team value so will continue to pick good players with a recent trend of points including Dreyer from SD.

I like Hany against MTL this week. I’m spending big up front with Cupers, Zaha and Benteke .
I also have big money on the bench from the early games, so I may need to scrub on Saturday night with Evander and Orellano there.

In goal, I’m currently looking at Kristijan Kahlina as one of my goalkeeper for this round. The Croatian shot stopper has kept a clean sheet in each of his home games of 2025 and I expect that run to continue against The Earthquakes who’ll be without Hernan Lopez.
My second goalkeeper is currently a 4.0 scrub but that might change as I have 4.4$ in the bank.
In defence, I’ve paired Kahlina with Malanda for his CS chances and he also has a decent goal scoring threat on set pieces.
My other two playing defenders are currently Jackson Ragen and Morris Duggan.

In midfield, Albert Rusnak and Martin Ojeda were both locks in my team this round as they both have a favourable home matchups this round. They’ve also shown some solid bonus production.
I’m currently doubling up on Nashville MID with Haney Mukhtar and Ahmed Qasem making my team.
My final midfielder is Anders Dreyer who’s been one of San Diego’s standout players this season. In attack, Alonso Martinez has scored in three of his four first matches in 2025 and I fancy his chances to get on the scoresheet again against a Columbus Crew side that’s going to be without Patrick Schulte who’s on intentional duty with the US.
Wilfred Zaha completes a Charlotte triple up, I fancy the Ivorian’s chances of getting a couple of returns against a San Jose side with two straight losses.
That’s are our MLS Fantasy 24/25 Round 5 Team Reveals, who is in your squad this week?
