Matheus Cunha Suspended and Fined
Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Matheus Cunha has been suspended for two games and fined £80,000 by the Football Association (FA). The disciplinary action follows an incident that occurred after the final whistle of the Premier League match between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Ipswich Town on Saturday, December 14, 2024.
The FA charged Cunha with misconduct, alleging that he acted improperly. Cunha admitted to the charge, and the sanctions were subsequently imposed by an independent Regulatory Commission. The full written reasons for the case will be published at a later date.
As a result of the suspension, Cunha will miss Wolves’ upcoming Premier League match against Nottingham Forest and the FA Cup third-round match away to Bristol City.
The news of Cunha’s suspension is among the latest updates from Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club. The club provides various avenues for fans to stay informed, including their official website, social media channels, and Wolves TV345.
