Each Gameweek brings an FPL community team reveal. As a result, that person gives insight into their transfers, captaincy and future plans.
Ahead of Gameweek 25, it’s the turn of Marc Jobling to tell us what is happening to his team.
Hi Marc and thanks for the team reveal. How did Gameweek 24 go?
I had to really research the answer because it’s been such a long Gameweek. In fact, this comes before tonight’s Merseyside derby – the one that finally concludes proceedings.
As a non-owner of Nottingham Forest assets, their opening 7-0 win over Brighton caused gigantic initial damage and I suppose ‘only’ being down from 440k to 492k going into the final match feels somewhat respectable.
My Assistant Manager chip is on Arne Slot, meaning I had to cheer against my captain Mohamed Salah’s 16 points at Bournemouth. It should get worse at Goodison Park, especially if Trent Alexander-Arnold can’t contribute.
I reluctantly bought Iliman Ndiaye but, in fairness, he’s already on eight points. It was nice to eventually start a Vitalii Mykolenko clean sheet but, of course, I instead benched Daniel Munoz’s 11 points.
Alexander Isak and Bryan Mbeumo were disappointing.
What does your defence look like?
Before I benched him at Man United, Munoz had delivered a return in all three matches since the purchase. He’s straight back in my line-up, meaning it’s probably time for Mykolenko, in the same match, to once again secure a benched clean sheet.
Even if Trent isn’t risked for the Wolves game, he’d play in the tougher part of Double Gameweek 25.
Owning double Arsenal defence is an idea in its final days but should be fine for Leicester away. The Foxes were goalless in six of their last nine league outings.

Meanwhile, what about your midfield and attack?
It’s hard to pick a fault in my current midfield but I think things need changing up front. All three have nasty-looking fixtures this week, though Isak won’t fear this Man City at all. I think he’ll score at least once.
However, Joao Pedro needs to go, as soon as possible. Owning the Brazilian has been a miserable experience and I’m not even sure he makes their line-up anymore, seeing as they beat Chelsea in the cup without him.
Morgan Rogers gets a bit longer but it’s frustrating to see him constantly score in other competitions.
So what are your transfer plans for Gameweek 25 and beyond?
I’ve already bought Justin Kluivert for Ismaila Sarr, as Bournemouth’s fixtures look superb and I refuse to go near Antoine Semenyo again. He was an even bigger nightmare than Joao Pedro!
After that, I think the most sensible, flexible method is to limit your transfers over Gameweeks 26 and 27. We’ll know more about the future schedule by Gameweek 28, at which point a chip strategy can be finalised. I like a Gameweek 29 Free Hit, even if many content creators prefer not to.
Perhaps Chris Wood or Matheus Cunha can soon come in for a forward but hopefully nothing else until the FA Cup fifth-round takes place.
Finally, what about captaincy?
It’ll be Salah again. There’ll be very little gain from his success but this time I don’t expect to be actively rooting against him. Although Cole Palmer scored four goals in the reverse clash with Brighton, I can’t be captaining a single Gameweeker.
Good luck and thank you for the team reveal!
