What Is Paddy Power Fantasy?
Paddy Power have just launched their brand new Fantasy section, to coincide with the new Fantasy Premier League 2019/20 season. From our Premier League passions, to NFL delights and UEFA Champions League too – it’s all on offer! The best thing about playing Paddy Power Fantasy is that you can have a brand new team every week. It’s essentially like activating the FPL Free Hit Chip every single weekend – no more injury woes and deductions for points hits! Playing Paddy Power Fantasy gives you the option to own all of those players that you can’t squeeze into your FPL team, so there’s enjoyment to be had if they bang a hatful of goals. It’s far better than an afternoon hiding behind the sofa, staring at those miserable red arrows. There’s big prize money on offer every day that there’s a Premier League game, with the headline event being the Saturday EPL Wonder Strike, which tends to include all of the action from the 3pm kick-offs onwards. It’s generally 7-a-side, with four attacking players and three defensive, including a goalkeeper.Scoring System Study
Forwards and Midfielders To get one step ahead of your Paddy Power Fantasy rivals, it’s best to have a good study of the scoring system. There’s plenty of similarity with FPL scoring, plus the usual £100 million budget to stick to when selecting your seven players. Some contests require you to choose a captain, who gets 1.5 times the standard scoring. It’s worth researching the underlying statistics to select players with most avenues for scoring big fantasy points. For our attacking players, there’s the usual points on offer for goals and assists. Goals are worth more than double the points of an assist, with the onus certainly on those that can get their names on the scoresheet. Added into the mix, three points for Chances Created and five points for Shots on Goal can provide a decisive edge. Again, those taking shots have the edge on the creative providers. Kevin De Bruyne currently leads the chances created charts for the season with 29, closely followed by Riyad Mahrez and Gylfi Sigurdsson on 20. It’s Sergio Aguero who has the edge for shots on goal in 2019/20 with 27. Harry Kane and Tammy Abraham share second with 23, Raheem Sterling and Teemu Pukki are just one behind with 22. Defenders When using your budgets on defenders, attacking returns are certainly going to help your cause. Defenders are worth far more than just clean sheets. Ricardo Pereira leads the goalscoring charts, with two goals in his last two games. Eirik Pieters and Alexander-Arnold have three assists apiece, Trent has also created 23 big chances. Defensive actions are also important though and should be overlooked. There’s 1.3 points on offer for each and every blocked shot, clearance, interception and tackle. Pereira leads the tackle charts (47) and Schar is top for interceptions (15). Bournemouth’s Steve Cook and Aston Villa’s Tyrone Mings both have 54 clearances this season, with this pair the top two for blocks too. Chasing the leagues top tacklers, and those who succeed in clearing the ball, are the wise moves. Goalkeepers Clean sheets are king when it comes to Paddy Power Fantasy, with being on the winning team also providing a big bonus too. It’s 3 points for a save, but those points can quickly diminish with -2.5 points for every goal conceded. Liverpool are the only side with a clean record in the Premier League this season, with Adrian clinging on to his place with two clean sheets. Leicester are the only other side to concede just five goals, making Schmeichel a great investment. Hugo Lloris, Bernd Leno and Aaron Ramsdale have all surpassed 25 saves this season.Ultimate Contests Guide
