LiveFPL Rank Tiers – GW35 autosubs and chip usage
Gameweek 35 is over, therefore we can use LiveFPL rank tiers to analyse the decisions made by FPL managers.
Autosubs made
Throughout all rank tiers, the biggest autosub by far was the shock resting of Trent Alexander-Arnold. Whilst Mohamed Salah eventually made a brief appearance from the bench, Alexander-Arnold did not. This led to many receiving Armando Broja instead, only to see him then named on Southampton’s bench. His own one point was poor but doesn’t look out of place alongside the blanks of Fabian Schar, Teemu Pukki, Jacob Ramsey and Jean-Philippe Mateta.
Additionally, Kevin De Bruyne and James Maddison were unused at the weekend, with Arsenal’s Ben White missing because of a minor hamstring complaint.
Chip usage of rank tiers
There was not a great deal of chip usage this week, with Gameweek 35 straightforward compared to the Double Gameweek storms of either side. All 20 teams played once over ten matches.
Expect Bench Boost 36 followed by Free Hit 37 to be a popular sequence throughout all rank tiers. The upcoming round sees 12 teams play twice, with five doing so the week after. Three sides have successive Double Gamweeks – Aston Villa, Everton and Leicester.
Top 10k template
Compared to last week’s squad, there are three changes to the top 10k template. With fixtures turning nasty for Newcastle, out go Martin Dubravka and Schar in exchange for Ben Foster and Marcos Alonso. Then, in midfield, Kai Havertz made way in time for Son Heung-min‘s 19 points against Leicester.
A starting XI with Son captain and a bench of Ben Foster, Alexander-Arnold, Broja and Wout Weghorst would have scored 74 points.
