LiveFPL Rank Tiers – GW28 autosubs and chip usage
Gameweek 28 is over, therefore we can use LiveFPL rank tiers to analyse the decisions made by FPL managers.
Autosubs made
Now that all Double Gameweek 28 matches have been played, we can see that very few of the top 10k needed autosubs. Marcos Alonso was the only real absentee, so in came the likes of Jarrod Bowen, Joao Cancelo, Bukayo Saka and Trent Alexander-Arnold – the latter two brought in 12 points.
Overall, there were more managers affected by the inactive Ruben Dias and Cristiano Ronaldo. A variety of names replaced them from the bench, with 3.52% lucky enough to bag Daniel Amartey‘s clean sheet.
Chip usage of rank tiers
Furthermore, almost a third of top 10k managers used their second Wildcard this time. With back-to-back Double Gameweeks followed by a big blank, this was seen as an optimum time to plan ahead. Those who wildcarded in Gameweek 26 did so with a Bench Boost in mind and this happened amongst 18% of the elite. There is still 11.35% yet to use either Free Hit chip, which extends to 50.56% of overall managers.
Top 10k template
Compared to the Gameweek 27 template, a lot has changed. The heavy Wildcard usage means that the likes of Son Heung-min, Bruno Fernandes, Nick Pope, Jarrod Bowen and Wout Weghorst are out. As a result, in comes Raphinha, Philippe Coutinho, Antonio Rudiger, Reece James, Raul Jimenez and several more.
Effective Ownership in rank tiers
The EO (percentage of starting XI teams, plus captaincy, of a player) numbers are fairly consistent across ranks for big-hitters like Mohamed Salah, Son and Alexander-Arnold, although the two games of Jacob Ramsey made him more popular than usual.
