LiveFPL Rank Tiers: Gameweek 26
An inside look into the decisions of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers, by rank tiers, using the LiveFPL website.
AUTOSUBS MADE
Around 1.5 million managers sold Diogo Jota heading into Gameweek 26, so only 3.48% of the top 10k had him autosubbed out. The only other player with newsworthy ownership to miss out was Tottenham’s Sergio Reguilon. Very few autosubs were activated amongst the elite, with Tino Livramento‘s 12-point return the only successful entry. Overall, the absence of Allan Saint-Maximin affected almost 10% of managers and 3.6% benefitted from Kostas Tsimikas‘ assist versus Norwich.
TOP 10K CHIP USAGE
Unsurprisingly, this was a huge week for chip usage amongst the top 10k. Over 71% used their Triple Captain chip – mostly getting 84 points from Mohamed Salah – with 16% reacting to the announcement of Double Gameweeks 28 and 29 by activating a Wildcard. Over half are still to use either Free Hit.
TOP 10K TEMPLATE
There are six changes to the top 10k template since the Gameweek 25 analysis. Aaron Ramsdale, Kieran Tierney and Andrew Robertson enter the defensive mix, although Livramento leaves on the week he delivered returns. Jota, Phil Foden and Bruno Fernandes leave the midfield template, as Bukayo Saka, Raphinha and Son Heung-min replace the trio. Also, Michail Antonio finally makes way, with Armando Broja coming in.
A starting XI with Salah captain and a strong bench of David De Gea, Lucas Digne, Josh King and Raphinha would so far have 116 points, ahead of Arsenal v Wolves on Thursday night.
EFFECTIVE OWNERSHIP IN RANK TIERS
The EO (percentage of starting XI teams, plus captaincy, of a player) numbers are fairly consistent across ranks for Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joao Cancelo and Ramsdale. Due to triple captaincy, Salah had an EO well over 200% in most ranks – up to 271% amongst the top 1k.
