LiveFPL Rank Tiers – Gameweek 22
An inside look into the decisions of FPL managers, by rank, using the Live FPL website
AUTOSUBS MADE
The main reasons for top 10k autosubs were the surprise benching of Ruben Dias for Man City’s 1-0 win over Chelsea, plus the postponement of Tottenham vs Arsenal that affected Aaron Ramsdale, Bukayo Saka and Kieran Tierney. Nothing of note replaced these absentees, although Ben Foster will play a second time in this Double Gameweek. Overall, the inactive teams that still have Mohamed Salah had an autosub, although many of his replacements also haven’t played – the likes of Reece James, Cristiano Ronaldo and Daniel Amartey.
TOP 10K CHIP USAGE
Despite the chaos of festive and New Year postponements, less than half of top 10k teams have yet used their first Free Hit chip. 5.63% did for Gameweek 22 but many are expecting the madness to continue and have adopted a patient approach. This was also the second opportunity to activate a second Wildcard, which only 5.1% have opted to do so far.
TOP 10K TEMPLATE
The 15-man template squad has two differences from last week – out go Ollie Watkins and Son Heung-min, replaced by the mixed fortunes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes. The latter seemed to be a dominant name amongst Free Hitters and he responded with two goals at Villa Park.
A starting XI with Ben Foster, Tino Livramento, Sergio Reguilon and Demarai Gray benched would currently be on 59 points, with five players set to play again this Gameweek.
EFFECTIVE OWNERSHIP
The EO (percentage of starting XI teams, plus captaincy, of a player) numbers are fairly consistent across ranks for names like Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jarrod Bowen and David De Gea.
