Community price talk
A large part of the community were very excited about Lingard with many trying to predict his impending price.

Where could Lingard play?
Lingard has versatility in most attacking roles. This means that manager Steve Cooper could potentially use him anywhere in the front three of his 3-4-3 formation.
Interestingly Brennan Johnson predominantly plays on the right hand side of the Nottingham Forest attack. New signing Awoniyi also plays more of a central role. This coincides with the fact that during his stint at West Ham the midfielder predominantly played on the left hand side of the attack.
With that in mind we could see Lingard used on the left hand side of a front three, where he is most effective offensively.
Previous form
Although having a very quiet career at Manchester United Lingard’s brief time at West Ham United was very different. In season 20/21 Lingard joined the Hammers midway through the season on loan.
Scoring nine goals and four assists Lingard took everyone by surprise. Looking like a constant threat for West Ham every match the midfielder hit 13 goal contributions in 16 starts.
FPL players remember the great Lingard run of form. Whether that be because FPL managers did or didn’t own him Lingard made everyone notice.
Overview
With high wages comes high expectations. Lingard’s West Ham form shows how much potential he has. At £6m and with fixtures against Newcastle, Everton and Bournemouth in his first six matches Lingard could well be a serious option for FPL managers.
