Injuries and Bans ahead of Gameweek 10
For Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers, the availability of their players both in terms of injuries as well as bans is an important part of their Gameweek preparations.
Here’s a round-up of what we know so far in terms of injuries and bans.
INJURIES
Players to monitor after Gameweek 10
Kieran Tierney (Arsenal) – Ankle injury Missed the Aston Villa game on 22/10 with a bruised ankle.
Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford) – Substituted with a “minor injury” against Leicester on 24/10 and his manager hopes the issue isn’t serious.
Romelu Lukaku (Chelsea) – Suffered a twisted ankle against Malmo on 20/10. Will be out for “some matches” according to his manager.
Timo Werner (Chelsea) – Suffered a hamstring injury against Malmo on 20/10. Will be out for “some matches” according to his manager.
Raphinha (Leeds) – Sustained a knock against Wolves on 23/10 but his manager does not know the extent of the problem.
Jamie Vardy (Leicester) – Complained of knee pain in the match against Brentford on 24/10 and was substituted at half-time.
James Milner (Liverpool) – Substituted with a hamstring injury in the match against Manchester United on 24/10.
Raheem Sterling (Man City) – Missed the Brighton game on 23/10 because of a “niggle” in his back.
Armando Broja (Southampton) – Sustained an ankle injury when facing Burnley on 30/10 but expected to swiftly recover
Potential FPL options with longer term injuries
Granit Xhaka (Arsenal) – Knee ligament damage picked up against Spurs (26th Sept), out for three months
Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Everton) – Back in training following a muscle injury, still a “little way away”
Abdoulaye Doucoure (Everton) – Everton confirmed on 19/10 Doucoure has suffered a foot injury and will be assessed to determine the period of absence.
Luke Ayling (Leeds) – Still halfway through his recovery from a knee problem
Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester) – Out for four-to-five weeks from 3rd Oct with a hamstring injury
James Justin (Leicester) – ACL injury from the 2020/21 season, expected back some time in October
Wesley Fofana (Leicester) – Broken leg in pre-season
Harvey Elliot (Liverpool) – Serious ankle injury vs Leeds (12th Sept) which required surgery
Ferran Torres (Man City) – Fractured foot, ruled out for two-to-three months from 15th Oct
Raphael Varane (Man United) – Ruled out on 12th Oct for a few weeks with a thigh injury
Jack Stephens (Southampton) – Picked up a knee injury on 18th Sept. Ruled out for 10-12 weeks
Christian Kabasele (Watford) – Out for more than three weeks (7th Oct) due to a hamstring injury
Francisco Sierralta (Watford) – Picked up a hamstring injury on 2nd Oct, expected to begin light training from 18th Oct
Johnny (Wolves) – ACL injury from the 2020/21 season, on course for “a return in the new year”
Pedro Neto (Wolves) – Knee injury from 2020/21, due to have a specialist review in October but no further timeframe

Paul Pogba (Manchester United) – 3 Match Ban Sent off for serious foul play on 24/10 and will miss three matches.
Ben Gibson (Norwich) – 1 Match Ban Suspended for one match after being sent off for two bookable offences on 23/10.
Emmanuel Dennis (Watford) – 1 Match Ban Suspended for one league match after collecting his fifth booking of the season on 23/10.
