How to invest in Arsenal for double Gameweek 25

We take a look at how to invest in Arsenal for double Gameweek 25. Looking at form and minutes to determine who could be the best picks whilst utilising the Fantasy Football Scout members area to help us.

Double game weeks can be the most exciting period of the season for many fantasy managers. They can help gain rank or an edge over mini league opposition if we pick the right players so looking at how to invest in Arsenal for double Gameweek 25 could be key.

Who do Arsenal face?

They face Leicester (away) and Everton (home).

Arsenal

In their last 10 matches in all competitions Arsenal have won five, lost three and drawn two. Offensively in the last six matches they rank joint third for goals (11), first for attempts on goal (124) and first for attempts in the box (83).

Defensively in the same period Arsenal rank amongst the worst eight teams for goals conceded (eight), shots on target conceded (28) and big chances conceded (17).

Conclusion

Arsenal’s attack looks ever convincing and their putting up some fantastic stats so investing in their frontline could be key. In terms of their defence they are showing some concerning stats so their attack is much more appealing than their defence.

The opposition – Leicester

In their last 10 matches in all competitions Leicester have won four, lost five and drawn one. Offensively in the last six they rank around mid-table for the majority of the key offensive data points but do rank the fifth best for big chances total (16).

Defensively the Foxes rank the second worst for goals conceded (11) and are amongst the six worst teams for shots in the box conceded (59) and big chances conceded (17).

Conclusion

Leicester are very capable goal scorers and prove that in their underlying stats. However, defensively they are conceding some poor data which reinforces the fact that Arsenal attackers should take priority over Arsenal defenders.

Everton

In their last 10 matches in all competitions Everton have won three, lost six and drawn one. Offensively in the last six matches they rank amongst the worst five teams for goals scored (four), attempts on goal (60), attempts in the box (40) and shots on target (19).

Defensively in the same period they rank joint third worst for goals conceded (10) but sit around mid-table for other key defensive data points.

Conclusion

Everton have shown a huge lack of threat going forward recently which boosts the appeal of the Arsenal defenders back up. The Toffees are still also conceding plenty of goals so the Arsenal attackers stay as appealing as they were.

The best Arsenal attackers

Firstly it is important that we mention midfielder Gabriel Martinelli’s (£6.5m) failure to start in the previous Gameweek. This is a major concern for owners with his expected minutes in doubt which could justifiably lead to selling him and bringing in another Arsenal attacker.

Amongst the Arsenal attackers Bukayo Saka may rank fourth for non penalty expected goal involvement (2.79) but he is their most in-form attacker. The winger has bagged five returns in his last six matches and also takes his teams penalties. For that reason, he is the standout attacking asset.

Striker Eddie Nketiah (£6.8m) should also be considered as a priority. Not only does he rank above his teammates for expected goal involvement in the last six matches but he beats every other player in the league for it.

Martin Ødegaard (£7m) should also be seriously considered. The midfielder ranks above Bukayo Saka in terms of expected goal involvement in the last six whilst also being Arsenal’s most explosive player with six double-digit hauls.

The best Arsenal defenders

The Arsenal defence all have a similar chance of keeping a clean sheet so it could be worth comparing their attacking threat. In the last six matches Oleksandr Zinchenko (£5.1m) leads his defensive teammates considerably in expected goal involvement (1.14). The Ukrainian also scored in his most recent game. Taking those factors into consideration, he is the standout defensive option from Arsenal.

Some could even consider centre-back Gabriel (£5.2m). He ranks second amongst the Arsenal defence for expected goal involvement and can be a considerable threat from set pieces.

Who are the best three Arsenal picks?

Buakyo Saka and Eddie Nketiah are the best two picks. It is then a decision between Martin Ødegaard or Oleksandr Zinchenko. Considering their concerning defensive stats lately it could be wise to opt for the third attacker rather than a defender. However, for those that really want an Arsenal defender, Oleksandr Zinckenko should be top of the list.
