How to invest in Arsenal for double Gameweek 23

We take a look at how to invest in Arsenal for double Gameweek 23. Looking at form and minutes to determine who could be the best picks whilst utilising the Fantasy Football Scout members area to help us.

Double game weeks can be the most exciting period of the season for many fantasy managers. They can help gain rank or an edge over mini league opposition if we pick the right players so looking at how to invest in Arsenal for double Gameweek 23 could be key.

Who do Arsenal face?

They face matches against Brentford at home and Manchester City at home in their double Gameweek.

Arsenal

Arsenal are in a good run of form. In their last 10 matches in all competitions they won six. Offensively their also looking good. Amongst all teams in the last six matches they rank joint first for goals scored in the box (seven), third for attempts on goal (101) and second for attempts in the box (73).

Defensively, Arsenal have also been fairly strong. In their last 10 matches they have kept four clean sheets. In their last six matches they also rank joint second best for shots conceded in the box (39) and the third best for total attempts conceded (60) with other data points being good.

Arsenal are putting up some very good good stats overall.

The opposition – Brentford

In their last 10 matches in all competitions Brentford have won five, lost lost two and picked up three draws. Offensively, in the last six they rank joint fourth for goals scored (12), joint second for goals scored in the box (six) but their other data points rank very average.

Defensively in the last 10 matches Brentford have also kept four clean sheets. In the last six they rank the second best for goals conceded (three) and joint second for clean sheets (four). However they rank the joint fourth worst for shots on target conceded (30).

Brentford are showing a mixed bag of stats both defensively and offensively.

Manchester City

Manchester City are also in great form. In their last 10 matches they have won six, lost three and drawn one. In terms of their attack, in the last six they rank the third best for goals (13), second best for attempts on goal (103) and the best for big chances total (25). Their other offensive stats are also impressive.

Defensively, They have kept four clean sheets in their last 10 matches in all competitions. In their last six matches in the Premier League they sit joint second best for shots conceded in the box (39), second best for total attempts conceded (60), second best for shots on target conceded (14) and fourth best for big chances conceded (seven).

Manchester City are sustaining good offensive and defensive stats.

The best Arsenal attackers

When comparing the Arsenal attackers in the last six matches, striker Eddie Nketiah (£6.8m) leads his teammates in terms of expected data. Not only this but amongst all players in the league he ranks second best for expected goal involvement (5.17) and non penalty expected goal involved.

Midfielder Martin Ødegaard (£7m) ranks above fellow midfielder Bukayo Saka (£8.3m) for both of the data points above and also costs a lot less. Not only this but Ødegaard is also more explosive bagging six double-digit hauls this season compared to Saka’s one.

Although the above are better options than Saka, he’s still a fantastic option. The Englishman takes his teams penalties and has also picked up four returns in his last six matches, reflecting great form.

The best Arsenal defensive options

Those looking for a defensive option with attacking threat could look to Oleksander Zinchenko (£5.1m). He leads his fellow backline in terms of expected goal involvement, chances created and joint first for attempts on goal in the last six matches. Another great option could be Gabriel (£5.2m) who also sits joint first for attempts on goal and comes just behind Zinchenko for expected goal involvement.

The best Arsenal options

Eddie Nketiah and Martin Ødegaard stand out as the best two options but those looking for a third option could even back the triple attack with the addition of Bukayo Saka. Those looking for defensive cover instead could back either Oleksander Zinchenko or Gabriel.
