Highest scoring players in Serie A Fantasy

Last modified date

The international break continues so we can look back and reflect on the season so far. With that we take a look at the highest scoring players in Serie A Fantasy with the help of our expert and regular contributor @FPL_Crisk.

A lot has happened in the first several rounds of the new campaign so it could be helpful to remind us who the highest scoring players in Serie A Fantasy are so far. This could help with both captaincy and transfer plans moving forward.

Yann Sommer (€5.0m – 18.7% – 30 points)

The Swiss goalie is yet to concede a single goal this season. He is also the most nailed player in an excellent Inter defence. This lead him to only have three save points out of his 30 points total.

Giovanni Di Lorenzo (€7.4m – 29.0% – 32 points)

The Napoli captain is the full package, possessing every quality needed from a defender. Di Lorenzo always plays the entire game (getting access to second half clean sheet points) and his full-back role allows him to be in great positions for returns (one goal and two assists for him already).

Alessandro Bastoni (€5.6m – 12.7% – 31 points)

Inter, with their easy run of fixtures an incredibly solid backline, have managed to get all six of their defensive players to 26 points or higher. Bastoni is the top scorer of this bunch. He has no attacking returns but being nailed for the whole 90 minutes and managing a couple of ball recovery points lead him to even outscore Sommer.

Danilo (€6.4m – 20.1% – 31 points)

All players who decided to captain Danilo in Round 3 are probably still celebrating. His 17 points haul in the last game helped the Brazilian get back to the top of the charts where he belongs, after becoming the top scorer in last season’s game.

Giorgio Scalvini (€4.8m – 19.4% – 26 points)

He is another example of a central defender being nailed outscoring most fullbacks in the game. Two full clean sheet were enough for the wonderkid from Atalanta to become a top pick despite not registering any attacking returns.

Ederson da Silva (€5.0m – 5.1% – 26 points)

The highest scoring midfielder in the game didn’t even start in the first Round of Italian football. However, he has been extremely consistent in the two following games managing one goal and one assist. This was enough to outscore the rest of the competition (including his fellow teammate Koopmeiners).

Antonio Candreva (€7.0m – 16.5% – 26 points)

Salernitana are yet to win a single game this season. Nevertheless, the Italian veteran is carrying all fantasy teams which are counting on him as the mid-priced midfielder of choice. Funnily enough, he seems to be returning only from his low xG shots and missing every big chance.

Christian Pulisic (€8.0m – 19.1% – 25 points)

Tied with the teammate Leao, Captain America is offering the same quality of performance for three million less in terms of value. AC Milan also voted him as their Player of the Month, confirming how much Pulisic is making an impact in Serie A.

Lautaro Martinez (€11.0m – 44.9% – 36 points)

The top scorer in the game (and in Serie A) as of now. Lautaro has really gained from the easy run of fixtures Inter are having. Good news for the owners – after the Milan Derby in Round 4, Inter’s great run of games continues, so the Argentinian will probably remain an amazing captaincy option for most Rounds.

Olivier Giroud (€8.6m – 11.4% – 35 points)

Milan has shown a more offensive side this season, being able to enter the opposition’s box many times. This has lead to them receiving penalties, and Giroud is one of the best in the world at converting penalty kicks. Just one less goal than Lautaro, but one more assist, the Milan Derby after the break will be a very interesting competition between the two best performers as of now.

Victor Osimhen (€12.0m – 74.2% – 25 points)

Compared to Lautaro and Giroud, Osimhen seems to be falling behind. In reality the Nigerian is doing pretty well – three goals are not to be underestimated especially when the only “blank” was against a good opposition in Lazio (and even then, only an offside call was able to stop him from scoring).
