Taking a look at the highest owned 11 in game week 1 using Live FPL. We see the which players were selected the most in the opening gameweek and see which formation they all fit in.

Seeing which players were the most owned in any given game week shows managers which assets can have the most negative impact on rank, something experienced FPL managers like to check. Not just this, managers can also take from that how effective players will be in gaining them rank if they return points.

Structure

Using the above we can see that the most owned 11 fit into a 4-3-3 formation.

Goalkeeper

The highest scoring FPL goalkeeper last season and Liverpool’s £5.5m Alisson comes in at a 20.12% ownership. This shows his price tag really has attracted a larger following this season.

Defence

Highest scoring defender last season and £7.5m Trent managed to hit 200+ points last campaign, he comes in with an ownership of 60%.

Trent is joined by Man City’s £7m Joao Cancelo, Chelsea’s £6m Reece James and brand new Tottenham signing £5.5m Perisic.

Midfield

There is no surprise that Liverpool’s main man and the highest point scorer in the game last season comes in at 62% owned.

Salah is joined by £12m Son who he shared the golden boot with last season and Arsenal man £8m Saka.

Forwards

New Man City signing comes in highly rated as one of the best strikers in the world. The Striker comes in with a whopping 43% ownership.

Joining Haaland up front is Tottenham forward Harry Kane with nearly 30% ownership. Another new signing joining the Premier League in Darwin Nunez, he comes in at 20% owned.
