GW22 Team Reveal – FPL Inzaghi
Each gameweek, a member of the FPL community will kindly reveal their immediate plans and give us some insight into their decision-making process.
Ahead of Gameweek 22, it’s the turn of FPL Inzaghi to tell us what they intend to do with their team.
Hi, FPL Inzaghi. So how did your Gameweek 21 go?
A fourth green arrow in five Gameweeks has seen me rise from 1.1 million to around 320k. I took a sizeable 12-point hit last time, attacking the Double Gameweek fixtures with Craig Dawson, Jarrod Bowen, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Son Heung-min all coming in. On the whole, the moves worked out well, with Captain Bowen scoring 42 points resulting in 90 overall.
Are you pleased with your current squad? Who is a player you’d like to own but don’t?
My squad is reasonably set up for Double Gameweek 22 with four playing twice – Marcos Alonso, Antonio Rüdiger, David De Gea and Moussa Sissoko. Son would’ve been my fifth if it wasn’t for injury. I have a unique problem this Gameweek. All three of my strikers have decent fixtures and/or potential doubles to come. Ollie Watkins is likely to double in Gameweek 23, Michail Antonio plays Leeds at home and Calvert-Lewin has both doubles to come and a nice fixture versus Norwich. But with Cristiano Ronaldo, Harry Kane, Emmanuel Dennis and Josh King all looking like great options this week, I’m tempted to make some moves.
In order of priority – the players I want are Ronaldo, James Maddison then Dennis. Primarily for their double this Gameweek. Ronaldo gives me an easy route back to Mohamed Salah; whilst Dennis and Maddison have decent fixtures in the medium term.
What are your transfer plans for Gameweek 22 and beyond?
I’m very likely to pull the trigger on Son to Maddison and Antonio to Ronaldo. The other move I’m considering as part of a -8 is Calvert-Lewin to Dennis. But Everton still have three fixtures to re-schedule so I’m unsure I’ll make this final move. I’ll wait until closer to deadline to decide on Ronaldo and Dennis.
And finally, what about captaincy?
Ronaldo will be my captain this week. Despite Man United being in poor form, all he needs is a penalty or lucky tap-in to register a double-digit return this Gameweek.
