Gameweek 4 Best Free Hit Team

Last modified date

The new Fantasy Premier League continues into it’s third week so in this article we build the Gameweek 4 best free hit team. We use the fantastic PlanFPL website and its brilliant FPL planner tool to build our Free Hit.

Our Gameweek 4 best Free Hit Team can be extremely useful to FPL managers. The Free Hit is one of several chips provided by the game. It allows managers to change their entire squad for one Gameweek only until our original team returns in the following Gameweek.

Fixtures

Below we can see the Fantasy Football Scout Fixture Ticker for Gameweek 4. The teams at the top have the easiest fixtures and the teams at the bottom have the toughest fixtures.

Goalkeepers

Although frustrating early on in the season Dean Henderson (£4.5m) remains a top pick. His side come up against newly promoted Leicester next up who have produced some of the worst underlying attacking data so far.

Matt Turner (£4m) backs Henderson up in the unlikely event he doesn’t feature.

Defenders

Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7m) continues to produce excellent attacking metrics and has kept three consecutive clean sheets so offers potential at both ends of the pitch.

Another player who has offensive potential is Rico Lewis (£4.6m). Lewis picked up an assist in his previous match and with Brentford at home next the Manchester City man also has clean sheet potential.

Brighton have started the season in great form and they come up against Ipswich next up. A cheap and reliable way into their backline is Lewis Dunk (£4.5m) who can also be a goal threat from set pieces.

On the bench is Matty Cash back-up and Aston Villa full-back Lamare Bogarde (£4m) who started his sides latest match in the league. Joining him is Leicester’s Caleb Okolu (£4m) who featured for the Foxes in Gameweek 3.

Midfielders

Ranking joint third worst for total shots conceded in the box so far is Leicester. One way of targeting their defence is with talisman, set-piece man and penalty taker Eberechi Eze (£6.9m). He goes into the next game off the back of a 10-point return in Gameweek 3.

Brighton have already discarded both Manchester United and Everton this season – scoring five goals in the process. With Ipswich up next Kaoru Mitoma (£6.6m) has a fantastic opportunity to make it three returns in his first four matches.

In relentless form is Mohamed Salah (£12.7m) who has amassed double-digits in each of his first three matches. The Egyptian has influenced his Liverpool side to three consecutive wins so far and appears to be in better early form than ever.

Everton have had a woeful start to the season – conceding three or more goals in all of their matches. Aston Villa face them at home this week and the cheapest way into their frontline is Morgan Rogers (£5.1m).

Bournemouth have conceded more shots on goal than any other side so far and only Manchester City have scored more goals than Chelsea. With that in mind we look to Cole Palmer (£10.6m) who has already produced one goal and four assists.

Forwards

Captaining the side is Manchester City Erling Haaland (£15.2m). The Norwegian goes into his home matches against Brentford with a back-to-back hattricks in his last two matches.

Doubling up on the Brighton attack that face an Ipswich team who have conceded more big chances than any other side so far could be hugely rewarding. Because of this we could also back penalty taker Joao Pedro (£5.7m) who has netted in each of his last two matches.

Sitting third on the bench is Will Lankshear (£4.5m) who enables money elsewhere.
