In this article we dive into the ownership of assets. More specifically we focus on the FPL Gameweek 38 top 10 most popular picks. To do this we simply head over to the Official Fantasy Football page and check out the highest owned players in the game.
Player ownership is becoming an increasingly significant part of the game. Knowing which players will cause us harm if they succeed and how much we will benefit from players we own could be crucial to making future transfers. So let’s dive in to the Gameweek 38 top 10 most popular picks below.
The Top Five
Erling Haaland maintains his position as the highest owned player with 72.5% ownership. The Norwegian faces West Ham at home on the final day so has plenty of potential. Haaland could also be the most popular captaincy option.
Bukayo Saka sits second on the list with 51.3% ownership. The Englishman will be hoping to secure his top three position for total FPL points this week against Everton. The Toffees have sustained the second most clean sheets in the league this season so could frustrate Saka and Arsenal.
Sitting just behind Saka is Cole Palmer with 50.8%. At the time of writing Palmer goes into the final round as the highest scoring player in FPL. He comes up against Bournemouth next up who sit amongst the worst five teams in the league for goals conceded.
Alexander Isak finds his way into the top five with 42.7%. Isak flopped in his first Gameweek 37 match but many will be expecting a good week from the Swedish international with a fixture against Brentford next.
Manchester City’ Phil Foden completes the top five with 41.9% ownership. Foden has been fantastic this season and a return this week would make it five consecutive returns in his last five Gameweeks.
The Rest of the Top 10
Filling up the remaining top 10 players is an Arsenal defensive double up of William Saliba with 38.6% and Gabriel with 27.8%. Both face Everton this week who although excellent defensively they rank amongst the worst five teams for total goals scored this campaign.
Aston Villa’ Ollie Watkins sits seventh with 35.6%, he faces a revitalised Crystal Palace side away from home. Joining him is Son Heung-Min who has a meeting with the relegated Sheffield United. Completing the top 10 is Newcastle’ Anthony Gordon.
