The best wildcard team

Goalkeepers

Not only have Brighton been sustaining some great defensive stats this season but they also have a mouth watering two double Gameweeks ahead. Because of this, his enabling price-tag and that he seems to have nailed down his first team position, Jason Steele (£4m) could be a fantastic option between the sticks.

Backing Steele up is Leicester’s Daniel Iverson (£3.8m). He also helps to enable fund elsewhere within the side.

Defenders

Manchester City may be struggling to keep clean sheets at the moment but all of the indicators are there to suggest they have good potential to keep some moving forward. In fact, when compared to every other team this season they rank second best for clean sheets kept (30), the best for shots in the box conceded (154) and the best for big chances conceded (40). With that in mind, his reliability in terms of minutes and his goal threat from set pieces, John Stones (£5.5m) could be a great selection.

Newcastle may face Arsenal next but after that they have a double Gameweek. Defensively, Newcastle are up there with some of the best sides in the division. One player who should not be excluded is Kieran Trippier (£6.1m). Midfielders

Liverpool also have some great fixtures ahead. Their best and most reliable option is Mohamed Salah (£13m). In the last six Gameweeks amongst all players the Egyptian ranks first for attempts on goal (24), first for shots in the box (23) and joint second for big chances total (seven). Salah also takes his sides penalties giving him another route to points.

Manchester United face a West Ham side who have conceded four or more goals in three of their last 10 games. This shows they have the potential to capitulate against efficient frontlines. The Reds also have a double Gameweek ahead. Because of this star man Marcus Rashford (£7.2m) has to be considered. The winger has collected a return in all four of his last starts, picking up two double-digit hauls in the process.

Forwards
