The best free hit team
Using the Live FPL website we can use one of its fantastic tools to plan transfers weeks in advance. Not just this, but we can also create team drafts to plan for using a chip. Take a look at the best free hit team for Gameweek 33:
Goalkeepers
Crystal Palace have made significant improvements under Roy Hodgson. One of those improvements include their defence. They face a game against Wolves who rank amongst the worst three teams in the league for goals scored this season (26). Because of this investing in Sam Johnstone (£4.4m) could be beneficial.
Backing Johnstone up in the event he fails to feature is Leicester’s Daniel Iverson (£3.9m).
Defenders
Newcastle are sustaining some of the best defensive data in the league this campaign. Because of this and the fact they face a Everton side who rank the worst this season for goals scored (24), investing in their backline could be wise. One of the options managers should consider is Kieran Trippier (£6.2m). Not only does the full-back dominate distribution stats amongst defenders but he also sits as the highest scoring defender in the game. His cheaply price-tagged teammate Sven Botman (£4.5m) will sit on the bench.
Brighton have also maintained some great defensive stats as of late. They have a fixture against Nottingham Forest. The promoted side rank joint worst for goals scored this season (24), second worst for attempts on goal (307), the worst for shots in the box (191) and the worst for big chances total (37). Because of this and the fact he has solid attacking threat, full-back Pervis Estupinan (£4.8m) could have great potential.
Liverpool play West Ham this week. The Reds seem to have turned their form around as of late. Offering more than clean sheet potential is Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.5m). Amongst all defenders this season the full-back ranks second for crosses (205), second for successful crosses (62), second for chances created (62) and first for big chances created (21).
Sitting as first substitute is Aston Villa full-back Alex Moreno (£4.5m). He has picked up an impressive four returns in his last six matches. Moreno has also shown good attacking threat picking up one assist in the same period.
Midfielders
Brighton continue their impressive season. Offensively this campaign amongst all teams they rank within the best four teams for attempts on goal (455), minutes per chance (6.1) and shots on target (172). They face a Nottingham Forest side who have conceded two or more goals in five of their last six matches. This highlights them as a team to target. Because of this it could be worth while doubling up on the Brighton attack with Solly March (£5.2m) and Kaoru Mitoma (£5.6m). Both also help enable funds elsewhere within the side.
Liverpool have been producing some fantastic offensive stats this season. In fact amongst all teams they rank third for goals (59), second for attempts on goal (487), second for shots in the box (359) and second for big chances total (102). For that reason and the fact they have a game against a struggling defence, standout attacker and in-form Mohamed Salah (£12.9m) could be a fantastic addition.
Manchester United come up against Tottenham in Gameweek 33. Although seemingly tough on paper, Tottenham have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last six matches whilst also conceding two or more in half of the same games. Because of this star man Marcus Rashford (£7.1m) could have huge potential.
One of the best budget enablers in the game makes the bench. Andreas Pereira (£4.4m) proved his potential in his most recent match. The midfielder bagged a huge 10-point return due to his goal and bonus points.
Forwards
No team in the league have conceded more big chances than Fulham this campaign (92). One player who could take advantage of that this week is Ollie Watkins (£7.7m). In the last six Gameweeks the penalty taker ranks joint second for goals scored (six), joint first for attempts on goal (25), joint first for shots in the box (25) and first for big chances total (10).
Manchester City face a pivotal title charge match against challengers Arsenal next up. Although putting up some great stats this season, the Arsenal back-line looks to be crumbling. They have conceded two or more goals in all of their last three back-to-back league matches. Who better to target their defence with than the highest scoring and highest owned player in the game, Erling Haaland (£12.2m).
Newcastle are in great scoring form as of late. They have netted between two and six goals in all six of their last matches. They face a struggling Everton who rank second worst for shots in the box (340) and second worst for attempts on goal conceded (494) this season. One player who should extend his good run of form this week is Alexander Isak (£6.8m). The Swedish international has bagged four returns in his last six including two double-digit returns.
