Daily Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 29 Tips

Last modified date

Gameweek 29

Saturday’s fixtures provide plenty of goal and assist potential for our Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 29 Daily Player Picks.

Starting 11 Mini Leagues

Whilst these selections are based on the Starting 11 game and scoring system, you may also find them useful and relevant for Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 29.

Starting 11 is a Daily Fantasy Premier League football app, which has grown in popularity amongst the FPL community this season. You can select a team without any budget constraints and battle against others. You can challenge the community by downloading the FREE App on Android or iOS and create a team. Check out their new mini league feature!

Safe Spine: Manchester United (vs Southampton)

Manchester United are unbeaten in their last 11 Premier League games. They’ve scored 7 goals in their last 4 games, conceding just 1. Another clean sheet looks to be a formality in Gameweek 29 and there will be plenty of goal scoring opportunities against a Southampton defence with just one clean sheet in 4. FWD: Marcus Rashford MID: Paul Pogba (C) DEF: Luke Shaw GKP: David De Gea After appearing as a substitute against Crystal Palace, Marcus Rashford is due a start here: he now has 9 goals and 7 assists for the season, including 2 in his last 4 starts. Pogba is the creative force behind him, with 2 goals and 2 assists in 4, plus penalties too. He scores well in Starting 11’s scoring format for shots and shots on target. Luke Shaw and David De Gea could benefit from another clean sheet. Shaw has 1 assist in his last 4 games. De Gea now has 7 clean sheets for the season, amassing an impressive 97 saves: 12 of those have come in his last 4 appearances.

Goals Galore: Manchester City vs Bournemouth

The reverse of this fixture ended 3-1 to Manchester City and it could be a repeat performance here with both sides adding to the score sheet. City have scored 12 goals in their last 4 games, Bournemouth have scored 2 and conceded 11: City are likely to be on top! FWD: Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling MIDs: Ryan Fraser, David Brooks It’s 7 goals in 4 games for Aguero, although all of those have arrived at the Etihad. Raheem Sterling should start after appearing as a sub midweek and has an excellent goal scoring record against the Cherries: these two will be looking to unlock the Bournemouth defence. Bournemouth will be boosted by the return of David Brooks from injury: he has 6 goals and 4 assists for the season, including a goal and an assist against Chelsea a few weeks ago. Fraser was unlucky to miss out on an assist last weekend, 9 assists for the season remains an impressive statistic.

Clean Sheet Stack: Wolves (vs Cardiff)

Wolves have 6 clean sheets this season, with 4 of those coming at home. A goal-shy Cardiff side gives hope of yet another return. Wolves have conceded just 4 goals in their last 4 games. DEFs: Matt Doherty, Willy Boly, Jonny There’s plenty of attacking threat posed by the Wolves defence, particularly from the wing backs, Doherty and Jonny. Doherty has 3 goals and 6 assists this season, including 2 assists in his last 4 games. Boly provides a big threat from set pieces, with 3 goals this season.
