Goalkeepers
Everton shouldn’t be underestimated defensively this week. The Toffees face a West Ham side who have failed to score in any of their last three games. Jordan Pickford (£4.6m) has also managed the joint most clean sheets in the league this season (eight).
Backing Pickford up in the unlikely event he fails to feature is the cheap and enabling Alphonse Areola (£4.2m) of West Ham.
Defenders
No team have secured more clean sheets than Arsenal this season. They face the worst offensive side in the league next so it makes sense to double up. For that reason we look to centre-backs Gabriel (£5.2m) and William Saliba (£5.7m) who have scored four goals between them in the last six league matches.
Completing the back three in defence, and only if he is confirmed ready to play, is Destiny Udogie (£4.9m). Tottenham face a poor form Crystal Palace this week and Udogie has registered more touches in the opposition box than any other defender in the league.
Enabling the team and sitting on the bench are Liverpool’ Conor Bradley (£4.1m) who picked up a 21-point haul recently and Brighton’ Tariq Lamptey (£3.8m) who bagged an assist recently.
Midfielders
Targeting the worst defence in the league is an absolute must this week which is why Bukayo Saka (£9.1m) is an easy inclusion. The fact Saka has managed three double-digit hauls in the last four matches also makes him a very viable captaincy option.
No player has managed to create more assists than Pascal Groß (£6.5m) in the last six Gameweeks. The German also ranks second best for expected assists, the best for successful crosses, joint top for chances created and top for big chances created in the same period amongst all players.
Crystal Palace have shipped a massive 15 goals in their last six matches which makes them a team to target. With that in mind it could be worth bringing back in penalty taker and Tottenham talisman Son Heung-Min (£9.6m). Son bagged an assist upon his return from the Asia Cup, adding to the 12 goals and five assists he already managed this campaign.
Chelsea will be hoping to bounce back after their recent Cup Final loss and they will be looking to do that against Brentford. Cole Palmer (£5.7m) has racked up an impressive four goals and three assists in his last six matches. Palmer also takes the Chelsea penalties which adds an extra edge to his appeal.
Sitting first on then bench is Leon Bailey (£5.6m). Aston Villa have a fantastic fixture against a poor Luton next up and their Jamaican has collected four returns in his last four matches. He also helps to enable funds elsewhere.
Forwards
Manchester City will be hoping to dismantle their local rivals again this week and their focal point Erling Haaland (£14.4m) will be hoping to repeat the two goals and one assist from the reverse fixture. Manchester United’ latest performance will give Manchester City even more confidence going into the game.
The game against Luton is a great opportunity for Ollie Watkins (£8.8m) to add to the massive 14 goals and 10 assists he has already managed. Watkins has also secured two double-digit hauls in his last four games.
Burnley have been one of the worst defences in the league this season. More recently the promoted side have also shipped a whopping 17 goals in the last six games. One player who will likely take advantage of their torrid backline is Dominic Solanke (£7m). Solanke has been excellent this season leading the Cherries attack and also takes their penalties.
