Gameweek 23 Team 2019/20 - Fantasy Football Community

It’s time to transfer Danny Ings into the Gameweek 23 team, after weeks of failing to acknowledge him.

The fixtures are turning for the better for Southampton and there’s two free transfers to provide plenty of flexibility.

Gameweek 22 Review

Gameweek 22 resulted in a red arrow, with not a single player in my team scoring a goal. Vardy lost out to KDB in FPL points, despite winning my captaincy conundrum. Salah also chipped in with an assist. New acquisition Dean Henderson kept a clean sheet, with the Sheffield United defensive double-up becoming fruitful. Another Liverpool clean sheet takes them to six in a row, and the points were gratefully received for Trent Alexander-Arnold. It was one of those weeks where all of the high ownership players that I don’t owned scored big: Danny Ings, Tammy Abraham, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial are just a few names which spring to mind.

Gameweek 23 Team

A transfer in for Danny Ings looked essential for the Gameweek 23 team. I’ve ignored him too long and expect him to maintain his form through the upcoming favourable fixtures. The funds couldn’t be found to upgrade Mousset, so I reluctantly parted company with Raul Jimenez to afford Danny Ings. There was temptation to downgrade an out of form Soyuncu, or a rotation risk Rico, to a £4.0 defender like Williams or Tanganga, and then upgrade Mousset to Maupay or Calvert-Lewin. In the end, a hit for that move seemed too great, but it’s likely to happen for Gameweek 24. Todd Cantwell gets the start against a leaky Bournemouth defence, with Mousset the backup on the bench. I expect Mousset to play though after his benching last game. The captaincy was wide open between Vardy, Ings, Salah, Mane and De Bruyne. In the end, faith has been trusted in the new acquisition, for his home game.
