Gameweek 22 Daily

Our Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 22 Daily player picks focus on three fixtures from Saturday.

Starting 11 Mini Leagues

Whilst these selections are based on the Starting 11 game and scoring system, you may also find them useful and relevant for Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 22.

Starting 11 is a Daily Fantasy Premier League football app, which has grown in popularity amongst the FPL community this season. You can select a team without any budget constraints and battle against others. You can challenge the community by downloading the FREE App on Android or iOS and create a team. Check out their new mini league feature!

Safe Spine: Chelsea (vs Newcastle)

Chelsea provide the Gameweek 22 daily safe spine. They are unbeaten in their last 3 games, scoring 3 goals and conceding 1, while keeping clean sheets in their last 2 matches. Meanwhile, Newcastle are without a win in their last 4, conceding 7 goals in that spell and scoring just one. A clean sheet looks a formality here for Chelsea, with goals on the agenda too. FWD: Eden Hazard MID: N’Golo Kante DEF: Marcos Alonso, David Luiz Hazard is the key provider for the Chelsea attack, with two goals in his last 3 games to make it 10 for the season. He also has 9 assists and penalty taking duties. If Chelsea score, he will be among the goals: he is a worthy captain here. Hazard’s appeal is boosted by  Morata rumoured to be departing in the transfer window, and Giroud shortly returning from injury. Kante, Alonso and Luiz will be crucial to providing a third consecutive clean sheet for Chelsea. They are all capable of producing some attacking returns too to further bolster their scores, Kante got two goals and an assist last month. Alonso leads the way for all defenders for attacking threat and Luiz has a goal and an assist in recent weeks.

Goals Galore: West Ham vs Arsenal

West Ham and Arsenal should score plenty of goals for our Gameweek 22 daily picks, as they clash at the London Stadium. West Ham are without a clean sheet in 4, scoring 4 goals and conceding 7. Arsenal are also lacking clean sheets in their last 4 games, scoring 9 and conceding 8. FWDs: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Marko Arnautovic  MIDs: Felipe Anderson, Granit Xhaka Arsenal striker Aubameyang should have the beating of this weak Hammers defence: he leads the golden boot race with 14, having scored 4 goals and got an assist in his last 4 games. Xhaka provides plenty from set pieces, including a goal last time out and scores well from tackles and interceptions in the Starting 11 format. The Hammers attack should be bolstered by a fit again Arnautovic, who got a brace on his return to the side last time. He should start after being cautiously substituted in the FA Cup. Anderson will link up well with him, having an assist in the reverse fixture and a brace back in Gameweek 19.

Clean Sheet Stack: Liverpool (vs Brighton)

Liverpool provide the Gameweek 22 daily clean sheet stack, having the best defence in the league, keeping 12 clean sheets and conceding just 10 goals. Meanwhile, Brighton have scored just 4 goals in their last 4 games, and failed to score away to both Bournemouth and Burnley last month. DEFs: Virgil Van Dijk, Andrew Robertson GKP: Allison Allison has been resolute between the sticks for Liverpool this season, he has the best save rate of all Premier League goalkeepers, with 48 for the season. He managed clean sheets against Everton, Bournemouth, Wolves and Newcastle last month. Van Dijk and Robertson could contribute attacking returns to go alongside a likely clean sheet. Robertson has 5 assists this season, Van Dijk has 1 goal and 2 assists for the season. Both benefit from the unique Starting 11 scoring format for their defensive contributions.
