Gameweek 19 Best Free Hit Team

With a new Gameweek upon us we take a look at the free hit chip. Using the Fantasy Football Scout members area we can utilise the season ticker and underlying stats to determine the Gameweek 19 best free hit team.

The free hit chip in FPL allows managers, within the same budget and formational limits, to select a team for one particular Gameweek. Managers can attack any given Gameweek with the free hit whether that be to utilise a good set of fixtures, in-form teams or players or a mixture of it all.

Fixtures

Who has the best fixtures?

Sheffield United, Newcastle, Brentford, Luton, and Liverpool rank in the top five teams with the easiest fixtures.

Who has the worst fixtures?

Everton, West Ham, Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa and Burnley all rank in the bottom five teams with the toughest fixtures.

Gameweek 19 Best Free Hit Team

Using the Live FPL website we can use one of its fantastic tools to plan transfers weeks in advance. Not just this, but we can also create team drafts to plan for using a chip. Take a look at the best free hit team for Gameweek 19:

Goalkeepers

Newcastle are one of the best defences in the league so investing into their backline this week against an out of form Nottingham Forest could be hugely beneficial. Because of that, the lack of goalkeeper options and his price-tag Martin Dubravka (£4.2m) makes the team. Matt Turner (£3.9m) comes in as one of the cheapest playing players in the game so helps to enable funds elsewhere. It is very unlikely he will feature at all.

Defenders

Newcastle have a great chance to keep a clean sheet this week against Nottingham Forest. Not just that but their full-back Kieran Trippier (£6.9m) is one of the most creative players in the league in terms of assists, chances created and big chances created.

Liverpool have been maintaining some great underlying defensive data this season. They come up against newly promoted Burnley side next. Trent Alexander-Arnold (£8.3m) seems to be in excellent form recently – returning at least once in all of his last six matches.

Tottenham may have a tough game against Brighton next but their full-back is one of the most dangerous in his position currently. Pedro Porro (£5.5m) has accumulated an assist in four of his last seven matches and sits top amongst defenders for attempts on goal.

Sitting first on the substitute bench is Liverpool full-back Kostas Tsimikas (£4.9m). The Greek international will only feature if any of the 10 outfield players do not. Joining Tsimikas on the bench is Luton centre-back Teden Mengi (£3.9m).

Midfielders

Starting off a stacked midfield this week is Anthony Gordon (£6.2m). Newcastle currently rank the best for expected goals and big chances total so investing in their attack makes sense, especially against a team who have conceded 2-5 goals in four of their last five matches.

Liverpool are sustaining some fantastic underlying attacking data and they face the second worst defence in the league this week. Mohamed Salah (£13.3m) has been the best asset in the game this season and could be the standout captaincy option.

Arsenal are dominant at home and they have a meeting with West Ham next. The Hammers have conceded at least one goal in all but one of their last 10 league matches. Bukayo Saka (£9m) could take advantage of that as he takes penalties and is Arsenal’ best attacking asset.

Son Heun-Min (£9.4m) has a great opportunity this week. Both him and his Tottenham side clash with Brighton who have been one of the worst defences in the division so far. Son is one of the most explosive assets in FPL and takes his sides penalties.

Another side with a standout attacking asset is Chelsea. The Blues face off with Crystal Palace this week. The Eagles have been struggling recently defensively – shipping at least two goals in four of their last six matches. Cole Palmer (£5.6m) is the go-to Chelsea player. Palmer has been hugely influential for Chelsea recently, hitting double-digits in one of his most recent games and taking his sides penalties.

Forwards

Bournemouth are in great recent form and there’s no denying that with four wins in their last six games. The Cherries are also maintaining some great underlying offensive data. Their main man is Dominic Solanke (£6.9m). No forward in the last six Gameweeks edges Solanke for non-penalty expected goal involvement.

Aston Villa will be hoping to bounce back and get their title charge back on track this week with a game against Manchester United. Having a brilliant season is Ollie Watkins (£8.8m) who leads one of the best attacks in the league. Watkins has potential going into any given match and this week is no different.

Sheffield United have a game against Luton next. Leading their frontline is Cameron Archer (£4.6m) who scored in his latest match. He could be a great sub this week but he also enables a very expensive team.
