Gameweek 13 brought another welcome green arrow, with a net of 66 points once the -4 hit is factored in. Two of the three transfers in delivered, with another Soyuncu clean sheet and a goal from Jimenez. Maddison was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet and none of the players who made way punished, although Sterling came close! Nick Pope has been excellent in the last couple of games, and Lundstram provided another attacking return but didn’t bring big points. I landed the wrong side of the Mane and Vardy captaincy dilemma, but it could have been very different on another day. I was pleased to see De Bruyne return some points after a quiet few games.Gameweek 14 Team
I’ve got one free transfer this week and a number of headaches, although on first glance the team looks well placed with nice fixtures. Tammy Abraham won’t make the weekend and there’s no guarantees for the midweek game either, but he is high ownership and there’s value tied up in him. I’ve given in to temptation and moved for Gabriel Jesus! It does give me a defensive benching headache! All four playing defenders have a good fixture with promise of a clean sheet. Trent Alexander-Arnold is so creative, Lundstram is an out of position legend and Leicester’s Soyuncu has four consecutive clean sheets. Therefore, I’m forced to bench Tomori, who has clean sheets in the last three league games at Stamford Bridge. Things are more straightforward in attack, although Mason Mount has been benched twice in quick succession which is worrying. He’s currently first in the queue to be dropped by Lampard against tough opposition, but looks likely to play this weekend. A move to Pulisic, Martial or Alli looks tempting but may be kept for another day. The final headache is the consideration of captaincy. Abraham’s injury has helped narrow the choice down to Mane or Vardy. Mane has the better fixture on paper, but Vardy has the form. Everton are struggling defensively, plus he has spot-kick duty to strengthen his case too. The team is ranked at 570,080 with 717 points. All chips are still in tact, except the wildcard. Team value lies at £103.6 million, with £0.6 million in the bank.Be sure to check out our other content ahead of the Gameweek 14 deadline. —> FPL Gameweek 14 Preview —> Last Minute Gameweek 14 Tips Get even more Fantasy Premier League Tips by visiting the Fantasy Football Community Homepage.
