Gameweek 13 FPL community reactions

We take a look at some of the best Gameweek 13 community reactions from FPL Twitter as the round plays out. With both positive and negative reactions to some of the key events including FPL assets.

Reactions in the FPL Gameweek 13 community can help other FPL managers by highlighting things like player minutes, player form, team form and anything else that could have implications within our fantasy teams.

@FplMode

Like Andy many managers within the FPL community were looking forward to owning and even captaining Salah in Gameweek 13. Nottingham Forest have been one of the worst defences in the league this season. For that reason, some felt Salah had great potential this week.

Managers who owned and captained Salah were once again disappointed with the premium midfielder. Liverpool lost their match against Nottingham Forest 1-0. This resulted in the Egyptian’s sixth blank of the season.

@FPL_Harry

Harry highlighted something really interesting in Gameweek 13. Many owners bought Brighton midfielder Trossard after his back-to-back hauls in Gameweek 6 and Gameweek 9. However, prior to Gameweek 13 the Belgian failed to claim a single FPL return since those hauls.

A large part of Trossard’s ownership lost faith and sold the midfielder ahead of his tough fixture against Man City. Sellers were then punished as Trossard finished the match on seven points for his goal. With good fixtures ahead, could sellers be tempted to bring the Brighton man back in?

@FPL_physio

We have already mentioned that some managers were brave enough to back against Man City striker Erling Haaland. Those that decided to captain Liverpool man Salah instead were punished. Haaland managed to score a brace against Brighton. This meant those that captained him received a massive 26 points for backing him.

Haaland continues his relentless form in FPL. The striker sits at the peak of FPL as the highest scoring player in FPL so far. His points consist of 10 returns in 11 matches and five double-digit hauls.

@FPLMarcin

We already touched upon the fact Trossard sellers were punished this week, But Marcin also picked up on that of Man City midfielder Phil Foden. His fantastic start to the season has recently resulted in a mass purchase. Those buyers were left disappointed this week.

27% owned Foden only managed to play 28 minutes in Gameweek 13. That short feature resulted in a measly one-point return. However, with great fixtures ahead, FPL managers can stay positive knowing Foden has plenty of potential ahead.

@marcjoblingfpl

Fantasy Football Scout and Fantasy Football Community contributor revealed the tough start to the Gameweek he had. One of the things Marc touched upon was Crystal Palace midfielder Wilfried Zaha and his FPL performance this week.

Zaha came into Gameweek 13 with a little bit of form behind him. The penalty taker managed to return in two of his three previous matches before this week. However, many were angered by his overall performance as he blanked and received a yellow card.
