Safe Spine: Liverpool (vs Fulham)
Liverpool are one of the most solid teams in the Premier League, scoring 21 goals and conceding just 5. They face a Fulham side who sit rock bottom in the league, having conceded 29 goals in 11 games. Surely it’s all one way in this one for our Gameweek 12 daily picks?
FWD: Mohammed Salah
MID: James Milner
DEFs: Andrew Robertson, Virgil Van Dijk
Salah is the standout player pick and captain this weekend: he has blanked at home just once this season, amassing 4 goals and 2 assists. He managed to accrue 4 shots and 3 attempted assists during his haul against Cardiff two weeks ago, more of the same Mo?
James Milner is a fantastic asset in the midfield, sharing some set piece responsibility and crucially taking penalties too. He scored an excellent chance against Arsenal last weekend, demonstrating his abilities in open play too.
With a clean sheet looking likely, Robertson and Van Dijk are the double up in defence. Virgil could easily have had a hat trick last time out against Arsenal, posing a big aerial threat with 3 shots. Meanwhile, Robertson will be exploiting a weak right-sided defence on the hunt for assists.
Goals Galore: Chelsea vs Everton
Chelsea have kept one home clean sheet this season and come up against an Everton side who have failed to score just once. With a combined 46 League goals across 22 games, the net is bound to bulge in this one.
FWDs: Eden Hazard, Richarlison
MIDs: Ross Barkley, Gylfi Sigurdsson
Hazard is almost back to full fitness and is a force at Stamford Bridge, with 6 goals, 3 assists and just one blank. Penalty duty could also improve his score this week, with Everton making plenty of blunders.
Richarlison is finally flourishing in his new advanced role, with 3 goals and 1 assist in his last 4 games. He looks hungry for more goals and could be clinical in this game.
In midfield, Ross Barkley and Gylfi Sigurdsson are the form players in the supporting roles. Barkley has 3 goals and 3 assists in 4 games. Meanwhile, Gylfi has 2 goals and 2 assists in his last 4 games, with penalties and set pieces potentially boosting his points.
Clean Sheet Stack: Manchester City (vs Manchester United)
Manchester City have been really solid defensively this season, conceding just 4 goals and keeping 11 clean sheets. Another clean sheet could be on the cards for our Gameweek 12 daily clean sheet stack against a Manchester United side who struggled to come through a tricky Champions League game earlier this week.
DEFs: Benjamin Mendy, Aymeric Laporte
GKP: Ederson
Ederson squandered a 7th consecutive clean sheet last weekend, but did amass 5 saves and should score well shutting out Manchester United’s shots on Sunday. Pogba in particular is known for taking lots of shots from range.
Laporte and Mendy provide the attacking threat from the City defence, with Laporte the aerial threat from set pieces and Mendy creating chances from the wing. Young will do well to contain the pace of Sane, which could provide the space for the Frenchmen to deliver.
Team Reveal
Starting 11 have contests available on Saturday and Sunday. Here’s the team we will be lining up with for Gameweek 12 Daily fantasy on Sunday. Mohammed Salah is given the captains armband, with the most enticing fixture of the weekend.
