We look at the Gameweek 11 best wildcard team. Using the Fantasy Football Scout season ticker we can see which teams have the best run of fixtures. This can then aid FPL managers in picking out some of the best assets for the run ahead.

The wildcard gives managers the opportunity to change their entire team for any reason. Managers activate their wildcards for several reasons. Whether that be to target fixture swings or just change their team up, the wildcard can be precious to your planning.

Brighton, Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest, Wolves and Manchester United all rank amongst the top five teams with the best fixtures.

Who has the worst fixtures?

Luton, Chelsea, Bournemouth, Aston Villa and Tottenham all rank amongst the bottom five teams with the worst fixtures.

Goalkeepers

Spending as little as possible on the goalkeepers could be great move with all of the attacking options available. It also helps that West Ham and Nottingham Forest rank highly on the fixture ticker which makes Matt Turner (£4.1m) and Alphonse Areola (£4.3m great options moving forward. Both rotate around each others fixtures fairly well too.

Defenders

The fixtures and pricey attackers provides most of the appeal to go cheap in defence. There are also some great budget picks with good fixtures too.

Brighton sit at the top of the fixture ticker for the period ahead. They may not have kept a clean sheet this season but they have the schedule to provide the potential. Centre-back Julio Igor (£4.3m) has started all three of the last league matches for his team. We also have bench depth if he’s dropped.

The Liverpool fixtures are also very good and the cheapest way into the backline is full-back Kostas Tsimikas (£4.5m). Manchester United also face some of the worst attacks in the league over the next several Gameweeks. Because of that it may be worth investing in their cheapest option Harry Maguire (£4.2m).

Crystal Palace sit second on the ticker which suggests it could be worth investing in their defence. Marc Guehi (£4.5m) is also one of the cheapest ways into their backline. Arsenal have maintained one of the best defences in the league this season which means budget centre-back Gabriel (£4.8m) could be a great option.

Midfielders

A lot of the budget options within the side are helping to enable Mohamed Salah (£12.8m). The Liverpool midfielder has been relentless this season – returning in all but one of his matches so far. He has proven to be a strong captaincy option for the run ahead. Tottenham are another side sustaining some of the best attacking data in the division. Their main man is Son Heung-min (£9.6m) who has managed three double-digit hauls in his last five games.

The Arsenal fixtures have eased and they come up against some poor defences in the run ahead. Because of that penalty taker Bukayo Saka (£8.6m) makes the cut. Saka has collected eight returns in the nine matches he has played so far. West Ham also have good fixtures which makes Jarrod Bowen (£7.4m) a great pick. He edges his teammates for non-penalty expected goal involvement.

Completing the starting midfield this week is Simon Adingra (£5m). Adingra helps to enable the rest of the team but he also plays for a team who rank joint second best for goals scored so far this campaign. Adingra has started the last three matches for his side.

Forwards

Manchester City remain as one of the most convincing teams in the league offensively. Leading the attack is Erling Haaland (£14m) who takes his sides penalties and has collected 11 goals and two assists in just 10 league matches so far. Haaland will also be a great captaincy option long term.

No team in the league has scored more goals than Aston Villa so far this campaign. The biggest reason for that is Ollie Watkins (£8.4m). Leading the free-scoring frontline Watkins has already accumulated at least one return in eight of his 10 matches so far.

Cameron Archer (£4.5m) is one of the cheapest playing strikers in the game. He is unlikely to feature but does however enable budget in other areas of the team.
