GAFFR top picks
GAFFR Championship Fantasy is back! With managers now being able to start setting up their first drafts lets take a look at some of the top picks with the most potential.
With the GAFFR game now live picking the right team to start the season will be key for managers. We take a look at the top picks and why they can help GAFFR managers get off to the best start in the game.
Teemu Pukki
The main man and focal point of the Norwich attack will seemingly lead the charge back up to the Premier League this season. Coming in at a whopping £11.5m this season you get what you pay for.
The last time Pukki played in the Championship he ended up on 26 goals and four assists. With 30 attacking returns in 41 matches Pukki may not only be a top pick but a captaincy option every game week.
John Swift
The midfielder comes in at a big price of £9.m after making his switch to the Baggies. Considering Swift played for a struggling Reading side last season, a team that finished 21st and just escaped relegation, it was a great season for him. 11 goals and 13 assists reflects a fantastic campaign especially considering the teams circumstances. Swifts joins a newly built attack with bags of potential.
Dwight McNeil
After relegation last Burnley will be looking to come straight back up to the Premier League and one of those players to help them will likely be McNeil. Although speculation suggests the winger could go elsewhere McNeil could be a go to midfielder if Burnley manage to keep him.
With all of the outside interest from other clubs its created excitement around how well McNeil would perform in the Championship if he stayed and at a £9m price tag he could well be an easy pick.
Max Aarons
Coming in at a premium price of £6.5m Aarons could be Gaffr royalty this season. Last time out in the Championship the young right back managed an incredible 17 clean sheets, two goals and two assists. That ended Aarons season with 21 returns from a total of 45 matches and there is even more expectation offensively with the maturity of the player growing every season.
Ben Brereton Diaz
After a successful season last season Brereton has been priced at £10m by Gaffr. Playing 37 matches the young forward ended the season with 22 goals and three assists, 25 attacking contributions in total.
Gaffr managers of last season will be hoping that Blackburn can fight off teams interest in their star man after massively contributing to managers fantasy teams. The focal point to the Blackburn attack and their penalty taker means even more potential to unlock.
Connor Roberts
The Burnley defender will have high expectations with a £6.5m price tag but the cost is easily justified. Roberts has already had a hugely successful season in the Championship which only reinforces him as a top pick.
During his time in the Championship in 20/21 Roberts ,managed a whopping five goals, seven assists and 18 clean sheets. With that in mind every Gaffr manager will be looking to him for points through different routes.
