Fulham Top Picks for FPL 2024/25
Fantasy Premier League has launched for another season. For that reason we continue to cover each team in the build up to the start of the new campaign. In this article we take a look at the Fulham top picks for FPL 2024/25.
Picking out the Fulham top picks for FPL 2024/25 could be really helpful for managers. The Cottagers could be one of several teams with the potential to offer some great value for money assets this season, so let’s see what we can find.
It was a mixed season from Fulham and their manager Marco Silva. The Cottagers were hit and miss in many aspects and that type of form resulted in a 13th place finish. Fulham will be hoping to improve on that in their campaign ahead.
24/25 Starting Fixtures
Below we can see the Fantasy Football Scout Fixture Ticker. Fulham sit at the top of the ticker which indicates they have the better starting fixtures than any other side in the league. After an opening match against Manchester United they then go onto play Leicester, Ipswich, West Ham, Newcastle and Nottingham Forest.
Fulham Defence
Fulham’s mixed season was also very translative into their defensive numbers, ranking (best):
- 6th – Clean sheets (10)
- 7th – Goals conceded
- 13th – Expected goals conceded
- 11th – Total shots in the box conceded
- 9th – Total attempts on goal conceded
- 12th – Shots on target conceded
- 14th – Big chances conceded
Comparing the Fulham Defensive Assets
Comparing all of the Fulham defensive assets is crucial in picking out the best options. With that in mind we take a look at their minutes and attacking threat.
Racking up a huge 3420 minutes last season was goalkeeper Bernd Leno (£5m). The only other player to come close to his total was full-back Antonee Robinson (£4.5m) with 3269 minutes.
Opposite full-back Timothy Castagne (£4.5m) also exceeded the 2500 minute mark whilst the only other player to manage 2000+ minutes was centre-back Calvin Bassey (£4.5m).
When comparing attacking threat its Robinson who produced the most with six assists.
The only other defensive player to exceed one attacking return was Castagne who banked four goal contributions.
Additional Notes
Fulham recently sold star man and defensive midfielder Palhinha to Bayern which is highly likely to have a negative effect on the Fulham backline.
Conclusion
Edging all of his defender teammates for both minutes and attacking threat was Robinson who appears to be the standout based on the above.
However, Castagne could also be a very good alternative pick. His minutes should improve this season and was just two attacking returns short of Robinson even after playing around 600 minutes less.
Bernd Leno could be a much less appealing option this season after his £0.5m price rise.
Fulham Attack
Fulham also sustained some mixed attacking statistics, ranking (best):
- 13th – Goals scored
- 14th – Expected goals scored
- 12th – Total attempts on goal
- 13th – Total shots in the box
- 17th – Big chances total
- 11th – Total shots on target
Comparing the Fulham Attackers
When comparing the Fulham attackers in terms of gametime it’s midfielder Andrea Pereira (£5.5m) who takes top spot after playing 2618 minutes last season.
Two other players played more than 2000 minutes, midfielders Alex Iwobi (£5.5m) and Willian. The latter has since departed Fulham.
Both strikers Raul Jimenez (£5.5m) and Rodrigo Muniz (£6m) started 18 matches a piece last season. However, Muniz’ fantastic end of season form saw him start nine of his sides last 10 matches.
As well as topping gametime Andreas Pereira also tops attacking returns, but only by one. Midfielder Harry Wilson (£5.5m) produced 11 attacking returns so proved very effective when playing.
What is important to highlight is how efficient Muniz was last season. Muniz played less minutes than four other attackers but still bagged an impressive 11 goal contributions.
Iwobi, although good for minutes, proved less effective and produced just seven attacking returns.
Additional Notes
The recent purchase of Emile Smith Rowe (£5.5m) could be a significant one for Fulham. Smith Rowe can play in a number 10 and left-wing role which he is expected to solidify early on.
Conclusion
After an impressive end to the season and proving extremely efficient with gametime Rodrigo Muniz could be the standout attacking option at Fulham.
Andreas Pereira could remain a good option but monitoring his position during pre-season will be key.
Another player we should monitor is Emile Smith Rowe. The former Arsenal star has shown massive talent in the past and it may not take him long to settle into the Fulham frontline.
