Notes
- I have settled on this team or at least so far.
- There is some concern about not owning a mid-priced midfielder for flexibility. Players like Phil Foden and Mason Mount have crossed my mind, particularly Foden.
- The goalkeepers were an easy decision. Kepa could be a fantastic buy at £4.5m. Ward has been fantastic lately so he comes in as backup.
- Trippier is non-negotiable for me due to his stats. James is fit and played 65 minutes in a recent friendly so should start. Cancelo is an easy inclusion. Patterson and Bueno come in as solid budget bench options.
- Midfield is where I had most of my doubts, especially with not being able to access a mid-priced option. Salah is improving and can be explosive. Alimiron is cheap and in fantastic form. Arsenal have potential double Gameweeks ahead so it makes sense to include Martinelli. Rashford is in great form and has good fixtures. Andreas is probably the best enabler in the game so is an easy inclusion.
- Haaland is essential. Liverpool’s offensive stats are fantastic as of late, so a double up with Salah and Darwin makes sense. The third striker slot is still up for debate. It could be that I bring back Mitrovic over Martial.
- The captaincy armband will stay with Haaland.
- I don’t think too much will change with this draft to be honest.
