@FPLReaction’ team reveal for FPL Gameweek 7

The Premier League season continues so we look to the new round. We bring in Fantasy Football Community and Fantasy Football Scout contributor @FPLReaction to give you his FPL team reveal for Gameweek 7.

As we approach any given deadline, managers will be scrambling for clarity on some of the biggest decisions in the game like transfers and captaincy. Taking a look at @FPLReaction’s team reveal for FPL Gameweek 7 could benefit other managers when making those decisions.

Gameweek 6 review

  • Overall it looked like a good week on paper but that wasn’t the case. The average was extremely high in Gameweek 6 because some other players with high ownership did well.
  • The likes of Kieran Trippier, Son Heung-min and Kaoru Mitoma all went big in terms of returns and I didn’t own any of them.
  • I hit 75 points and dropped from 502k to 565k which is my second red arrow in a row.
  • I sold both Ben Chilwell and Nicolas Jackson this week and brought in Fabian Schar (who returned) and Julian Alvarez (who didn’t).
  • It was a big week for the Newcastle defenders, Bruno Fernandes (finally), Bukayo Saka and James Maddison.
  • My biggest disappointments included Bryan Mbeumo, again. Mbeumo does seem to be dipping which is obviously a concern moving forward and eventually someone I may need to replace if he keeps it up.
  • Jordan Pickford had another terrible week and to be frank I really can’t wait to ditch him.

Gameweek 7 team reveal

  • This is my current setup for Gameweek 7.
  • I have no plans to use my Wildcard just yet as my team looks ok in the long run.
  • I’m very happy with my Newcastle double up in defence. Botman is flagged but a lot of different sources suggest he will be fit to start.
  • I’m also opting for Luton wing-back Kabore over Estupinan. The former has a double Gameweek ahead so has two opportunities to return.
  • The Manchester United double up stays for now. I do have long-term plans to remove one of them so I have time to monitor both.
  • Both Maddison and Saka are also flagged. Some sources suggest Maddison will be fit but I’m less confident about Saka who has done some gym work but could be left until their Champions League match.
  • Haaland will be my captain again but against Wolves. Alvarez hopefully has a better week in the round ahead.
  • In terms of transfers, pending injury news there is a chance I bring in Son from Tottenham for Saka. Son is a long-term transfer in whom many will be bringing in on the wildcard.
  • Good luck for Gameweek 7!
