FPL: Who has the Best Fixtures after the break?
The fixtures are changing, and FPL managers must react to that to have a good chance at being successful. To help with that, and using the tools in the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area, we take a look at who has the best fixtures after the break.
Fixtures play a major role in how FPL managers pick up points. Naturally, not in all cases, but most of the time, investing in good players with lovely fixtures can be hugely rewarding. So, let’s take a look at the teams who could offer that in the run ahead.
Wolves
Sitting at the top of the fixture ticker for the period ahead is Wolves. As we can see, as well as facing teams like Bournemouth and Everton, Gary O Neil’s men also face two of the three promoted sides.
Their form has been hugely questionable so far this season – winning just one of their first 11 matches. However, during that period they clashed with Arsenal, Chelsea, Aston Villa, Liverpool, Brighton and Manchester City.
Unbeaten in their previous three league matches now, Wolves appear to be coming out of their early slump. In fact, as well as banking five from a possible nine points they also scored two goals in each of their games.
The recent change of form has led to interest in the likes of defender Rayan Ait-Nouri (£4.7m), and strikers Matheus Cunha (£6.8m) and Strand Larsen (£5.6m).
Ipswich
Another side who have suffered at the hands of tough opposition is Ipswich. Their overal form has been fairly mixed since the start of the campaign – losing five, drawing five and winning just one of their first 11 matches.
Interestingly, their only win came in their previous game against a tough Tottenham side. In fact, picking up four points in their last two matches makes it their most successful period of the season.
Unbeaten in their last two games, Ipswich have plenty of opportunity to continue that form, as they come up against the likes of Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and Wolves in their next six matches.
Full-back Leif Davis (4.5m) continues to appeal to FPL managers with his excellent distribution data, whilst in attack, striker Liam Delap (5.6m) goes into the period ahead in great form. Both players could draw in new owners.
Brighton
Many within the community have also avoided Brighton in regards to investment so far this season. A lot of this is due to awkward fixtures against teams including Manchester City, Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea, and Arsenal.
However, like all schedules, change is coming. The Seagulls have much nicer fixtures ahead against Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, and two of the three promoted sides.
FPL managers may be more inclined to back Brighton, ahead of other sides. This is mostly due to their overall form – having won nearly half of their first 11 matches of the new campaign.
Amongst the assets FPL managers are looking to bring into their teams include striker Danny Welbeck (£5.9m), who has returned in all but one of his previous five league matches, and fellow forward Joao Pedro (£5.4m) who recently returned from injury.
Who else has a kind schedule?
There are several other teams coming into a good period of fixtures.
With clashes against Chelsea, Newcastle and Liverpool firmly behind them, fixtures they failed to win, motivation will be high for Arsenal to turn results around.
The same could be said for Chelsea who go into their nice run of fixtures off the back of two consecutive draws. The Blues play two newly promoted sides in their next three matches, which is sure to attract FPL managers.
Although less than convincing in comparison to Arsenal and Chelsea, Bournemouth meet with Wolves, Ipswich, and West Ham in their run ahead.
