FPL Tips Gameweek 28 | Last Minute
Fantasy Football Tips GW28 from our Fantasy Football Community ahead of the deadline.
With one eye on a looming blank, who should we be transferring in? It’s all covered in the Fantasy Football tips for Gameweek 28!
Injuries
There’s an update from Ben Dinnery around Aston Villa assets for the fantasy football tips gameweek 28. Despite a favourable fixture against Newcastle United, Jack Grealish remaining out is a huge loss, but the squad will be boosted by Matty Cash and Anwar El Ghazi.Friday comes too soon for Grealish: “He is a lot better, but you won’t see him at Newcastle unfortunately. It hasn’t helped that he’s been ill this week, which has kept him off for a couple of days.” Cash and El Ghazi, hamstring and toe respectively, return to the squad. #AVFC

Defence
Defensively, we’ve seen a drop off in form from Manchester City in recent games and that’s shown in the table. Chelsea are the team out in front, but huge rotation in their back line under Thomas Tuchel doesn’t help us with our selections. Ted Talks FPL provides the data.#FPL Defence – Last 6 Matches

MCI: Just 1 clean sheet + conceding more big chances
CHE: Invest in the best
FUL: Solid but MCI & LEE up next
EVE & WOL: 3 clean sheets each but poor stats
AVL & WHU: Sustainable over-performance down to GKPs
ARS: Only team without a CS
LIV: ? pic.twitter.com/3nJfnMpcx1
Brighton
Brighton are another intriguing defence to invest in, especially since they have perhaps the easiest fixture of the looming Blank Gameweek 29. Lewis Dunk is the go-to option, but Veltman is an intriguing option to consider at a cheaper price, with Lamptey out for the season.Dunk vs Veltman over the last 5 games

Shots in the box: 4 – 7
Big chances: 0 – 2
xG: 0.36 – 1.22
Big chances created: 0 – 2
xA: 0.25 – 1.08
Price: 4.9 – 4.3
It does surprise me seeing a lot of people wanting to bring in Dunk when you have a better option for 0.6 less
Midfielders
Midfielders continue to dominate the transfers in, with the injured Harvey Barnes still being sold heavily. With next week in mind, All About FPL have put together a list of alternatives to consider, together with their statistics. Jesse Lingard is ineligible to play against Manchester United this weekend.??Looking for a Barnes replacement who play in both GW29 & GW33? – A THREAD

Captains
Kevin De Bruyne is one of four players who’s made the shortlist for the weekly Fantasy Football Pundits captains poll for the FPL GW28 tips. There’s another three players in the frame though, with momentum split between players in a three horse race. This will go down to the wire.? #GW28 CAPTAINS POLL ?

Planning
We had suspicions that Gameweek 28 could be a double, but Ben Crellin is now predicting that the Aston Villa against Everton fixture may move to Gameweek 30. There’s also another prediction for Gameweek 32 which ought to be considered within current transfer plans.I think we can now rule out the possibility Aston Villa vs Everton moving to Gameweek 28.

I think there's about a 60% chance of AVL vs EVE moving to GW30.
The other postponement that needs to be rescheduled is TOT vs SOU and I think that's most likely to be moved to GW32. pic.twitter.com/bdJ99vDOIy

The bookies odds can be very insightful when it comes to nailing down those selections and captaincy. FPL Salah provides the latest clean sheet probabilities: these are particularly useful for anyone making a defensive transfer this week and considering whether a hit would be worth it.
