There’s plenty of injury news for the fantasy football tips gameweek 22, including a trio of popular Leeds United assets. Ben Dinnery provides the update, with the situation not looking good for Rodrigo. Patrick Bamford should be available, having alluded to a dead leg in the post-match press conference from the Leicester City game.
Bielsa: "Two days prior to a game you can’t be sure any player is going to be available. The only thing to add is the problem Rodrigo has to overcome for Wednesday is bigger. The problems Raphinha and Bamford have to overcome are more safe…"

When it comes to captaincy, with premium options floundering, it could be another opportunity to go with a differential. It’s one of the key topics covered on the latest episode of the Always Cheating FPL Podcast, while Josh and Brandon also consider some of their all-time favourite fantasy moments.

When it comes to defenders, Manchester City are showing incredible solidarity, and the underlying statistics reflect that case. Ted Talks FPL presents the data in the following graphic – it’s just a shame Pep Guardiola has been rotating his defenders in recent weeks. However, there are some other solid defences worth considering.

When it comes to Liverpool, their attack are back to scoring goals, but there’s some uncertainty about the source of goals given Mane’s omission at the weekend. It certainly seemed to benefit Salah’s performance and is a prevalent trend according to these statistics from Adam Hopcroft. Should Mane miss out again midweek, Salah could fly.
Salah with Mane (1st) v without Mane 20/21
Mins – 1377 v 277
Played 16 v 4
Goals 9 v 6
Assists 2 v 2
Non pen goals 4 v 6
Mins per goal 153 v 46
Mins per non pen goal 344 v 46
If Mane is out v Brighton then we have our captain

Spurs assets are also causing headaches for us now, with Harry Kane injured and this impacting on Son’s returns. It’s one of the hot topics of the latest Planet FPL podcast, with the weekend’s action digested by James & Suj. There’s also a nod to Chelsea’s performance and the assets we should be considering from Stamford Bridge.

Jack Grealish has seen plenty of transfer traffic this week, given yet more consistent fantasy returns. It’s easy to see why when considering the latest statistics from EPL Statman: he’s created more chances than any other player this season, despite Aston Villa having played one or two fewer fixtures than most clubs.
Most chances created in the Premier League this season:
🏴 Jack Grealish (67)
🇵🇹 Bruno Fernandes (60)
🇧🇪 Kevin De Bruyne (54)
🏴 Mason Mount (52)
🇵🇹 Pedro Neto (41)
🏴 Andy Robertson (38)

The bookies odds can be very insightful when it comes to nailing down those selections and captaincy. FPL Salah provides the latest clean sheet probabilities: these are particularly useful for anyone making a defensive transfer this week and considering whether a hit would be worth it. Manchester City remain superior here, but Liverpool are also a good shout.
