Fantasy Football Tips GW15 from our Fantasy Football Community ahead of the deadline.
How should long term fixture blanks and doubles inform our Fantasy Football tips for Gameweek 15?
There’s plenty of injury news for the fantasy football tips gameweek 15, with this congested time of the season leading to an increase in muscle injuries. Both of Chelsea’s full-backs have succumbed to problems, although the prognosis from Frank Lampard was positive but not conclusive. Given Chelsea have two games coming up in a week, it could be risky to hold firm.
? Lampard: "Reece and Chilly have been doing really well so we hope both their injuries are not too bad and they'll be in and around those two games over Christmas."

FPL Spectrum has updated the form charts and two players have been superior over this most recent spell: Mo Salah and Bruno Fernandes. Given both their form and the general form of the teams they play in, plus an upcoming Double Gameweek, they are about to become the go-to premium assets. Squeezing in Manchester City and Spurs attackers too makes things tricky.
GW14 saw some big points scored, with Salah and Fernandes making the difference. With both assets topping the form charts and with LIV and MUN both having double fixtures in GW19, we should expect their ownership to go through the roof. ??#FPL #FPLCommunity pic.twitter.com/8WqQGuNON8

Key changes to the fixture schedule have been announced over the last couple of weeks, and we now have a clear picture of the looming blank and double gameweeks. As always, Ben Crellin is the guru to guide us through, with the first big hurdles coming in just four weeks time. It’s best to plan now to navigate and maximise through these upcoming periods.
Here's this season's Blank and Double Gameweek schedule:
(FA Cup QFs – expect five or six Blank fixtures)
(EFL Cup Final – expect two Blank fixtures)
There will likely be other small Double GWs ?

Will from Fantasy Football Hub has made a simplified flow chart to showcase all the different approaches for Blank Gameweek 18 and Double Gameweek 19, depending on the chips you have available. One thing is clear here, transfers made in the next couple of weeks will have big implications for further down the line, so having a formal plan right now is crucial.

Some managers will be preparing for a Gameweek 16 wildcard, the last available point to use the first wildcard before losing it. This group of managers are in a unique situation where they can take some punts for this gameweek on a player for just one week. The FPL Prince sets out his Gameweek 15 punts, with one defender and two midfielders.

For those playing a wildcard soon, or simply using free transfers to build towards a strong squad in Double Gameweek 19, perhaps in conjunction with the Bench Boost chip, FPL Goat has selected his essential players to consider. Kevin De Bruyne, Reuben Dias and Heung-Min Son make the cut, despite only having one game that week, but strong fixtures around it.

The bookies odds can be very insightful when it comes to nailing down those selections and captaincy. FPL Salah provides the latest clean sheet probabilities: these are particularly useful for anyone making a defensive transfer this week or struggling to effectively order their substitutes.

Talking of defenders and clean sheets for the FPL Gameweek 15 selection, it’s the in-form Liverpool full-backs Andrew Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold who are becoming popular selections in the community. It’s difficult to split the pair and they come in at the same price. Fantasy Football Fix use their powerful algorithm to help us make that important decision.

One midfielder who could capitalise on an injury for his team-mate Danny Ings is Theo Walcott. Southampton have a nice run of fixtures, plus one in the double, so if Danny Ings is out long-term he could roll back the years up front for Southampton. His link up play with Che Adams has been promising, but he’s difficult to trust given his history.

And finally, for anyone shopping for a new forward this week, Anthony Martial could be worth considering. Manchester United are finally starting to gel this season, plus his form has been sensational in the last couple of games. He’s one of those players who is unstoppable when he hits a hot streak: could now be the time to jump on board?
