Injuries

Harvey Barnes is the most transferred out player for the fantasy football tips gameweek 27. The unofficial prognosis isn’t too promising for his knee injury, with him likely to miss the majority of the rest of the season given the surgery required.

Defence

Defensive changes could be needed, and one man going under the radar is Antonio Rudiger. Chelsea have been in tremendous defensive form since Thomas Tuchel took over at Stamford Bridge, with consistency to rival Manchester City.

Midfielders

Harvey Barnes replacements are top of the agenda for transfers in this week, with midfielders dominating the top five transfers in across the board. There’s a variety of price points to consider here, and we have the tricky Blank Gameweek 29 to negotiate too.

Fixtures

The fixture chart now looks clear, with those Double Gameweek fixtures in 27, plus the blank Gameweek 29 now confirmed. Ted Talks FPL looks at all the data on which sides have the best fixture run. It’s worth noting that Gameweek 28 could still be a small double for Aston Villa and Everton.

Bruno

Bruno Fernandes has been a dominant fantasy option this season, but with the Manchester Derby coming up and a blank to contend with, he could be the scapegoat to afford in-form Spurs assets. It’s a transfer that FPL Tips is considering after a tricky Double Gameweek 26.

City

Other premium options for Double Gameweek 27 include Kevin de Bruyne, but his cheaper alternative Ilkay Gundogan is ahead on the majority of metrics over the past few months. Both are likely to be well captained going into the weekend, despite the Manchester Derby.

Planning

While it’s easy to approach transfers this week with our Double Gameweek goggles on, there’s a whole host of great options who could prevail with just one fixture this weekend. Many of these names also have a fixture in Blank Gameweek 29, so are worthwhile to hold onto in the longer term too.
