FPL team of the season 22/23
We take a look at the FPL team of the season 22/23. Picking out the highest scoring players in each position and seeing how they earned their points with the help of Fantasy Football Scout we can also put those players in a starting XI.
Looking at the FPL team of the season 22/23 can be both enlightening and helpful. Whilst many fantasy managers sit back and enjoy their break some could be shortlisting some of the players they will look to bring into their teams for next season.
FPL team of the season
Goalkeeper
- David Raya – Although it has been heavily rumoured Raya will leave Brentford in the summer, he has had an excellent season. The Spaniard has managed to collect 116 points, largely due to his 12 clean sheets, save and bonus points.
Defenders
- Kieran Trippier – The Newcastle full-back became the highest scoring defender in FPL this campaign with a huge 198 points. The 32-year-old managed eight attacking returns and 14 clean sheets to help him to that total.
- Trent Alexander-Arnold – Liverpool were inconsistent for most of the season. However, it did not stop their flying full-back from securing 156 points. A large portion of his returns came from his two goals and nine assists.
- Ben White – Arsenal had a great campaign which saw them finish second in the league. One of the players to benefit from that is Ben White. He too bagged 156 points with the help of nine clean sheets, two goals and five assists.
Midfielders
- Mohamed Salah – The Egyptian became the leading midfielder in terms of FPL points this season. He accumulated a huge 239 points mostly due to his 19 goals and 12 assists.
- Martin Ødegaard – The first of three Arsenal midfielders to make team of the season is Martin Ødegaard. The Norwegian banked 15 goals seven assists.
- Marcus Rashford – The Manchester United became a talismanic figure during the most recent season. He collected 205 points with the help of 17 goals and five assists.
- Bukayo Saka – The second of three Arsenal players to make the cut is Bukayo Saka. The England international picked up a cool 202 points. Most of his points came from 14 goals and 11 assists.
- Gabriel Martinelli – The Brazilian completes the triple up of Arsenal midfielders to make team of the season. He racked up 198 points whilst also securing 15 goals and five assists.
Forwards
- Erling Haaland – The Norwegian has been relentless this season, cementing his position as the highest scoring player of the campaign (272). His 36 goals and eight assists contributed towards his success.
- Harry Kane – Tottenham may have had an consistent campaign but their focal point Harry Kane continues to deliver season on season. The striker hit 263 points following 30 goals and three assists.
