Moving onto midfielders, it’s often the £4.5 million options who can be pivotal to our team balance. FPL Teach Mode (Andy) is on the lookout for the very best enablers in this position, but very few managed to hit the mark last campaign.

All About FPL complete the positional elements, by focusing on the mid priced forwards. We are blessed with a wealth of options in this category for the FPL Season Preview, but finding the top performers early could be key to a good start.

V. JianBatra: Planning

JianBatra has analysed the fixture swings in order to maximise early season planning. For managers who prioritise fixtures over form, having some transfers booked in down the line can help to yield more fantasy points over the opening phase of the campaign.

VII. Eire: Fixtures

FPL Eire has the fixtures in mind when it comes to planning in this campaign, targeting the best run of fixtures from each club. Some sides should carry a greater weight in our Gameweek 1 considerations than others given the difficulty of their games.

VIII. Matthew: Value

We always need to find value players to get the balance right in Gameweek 1, with FPL Matthew generating a detailed algorithm to pinpoint these key players. There’s plenty of metrics to help measure who the best options for our team are.

IX. Architect: Set Pieces

Finally, FPL Architect has researched the set piece takers from each club. Dead ball situations often yield goals and assists so having a good mix of players from these lists of penalty, free-kick and corner takers should bring fantasy points.
