Who tops the list?
It’s incredibly close between the top three players this week but just edging the others is Bukayo Saka (£10m) with 6.29 points. The Arsenal penalty taker goes into his Gameweek 3 match against Brighton off the back of a goal and an assist in the first round and an assist in the second round.
Positions 2-5
Erling Haaland (£15m) slips to second place this week with 6.24 points, but only just. The Manchester City striker has been in top form recently and has a great opportunity to extend that against a ropey West Ham defence.
Chelsea clash with Crystal Palace this week. Both sides will be hoping to see a better result than they did in Gameweek 1. The Eagles have started the season questionably from a defensive perspective and Cole Palmer (£10.5m) is predicted to take advantage of that with 6.14 points.
Regardless of his seismic clash against rivals Manchester United Mohamed Salah (£12.5m) makes the top five with 5.94 points. The Egyptian bagged a goal and an assist in the first round and has a fantastic record against his upcoming opposition.
Bryan Mbeumo (£7m) also sneaks his way into the top five with 5.38 points. Brentford bettered Crystal Palace in Gameweek 1 and Mbeumo played a huge part. After scoring in the opening round Mbeumo could add to his tally with a match against newly promoted Southampton.
Who else features in the top 10?
Two more players are predicted to get 5+ points. One of them is Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard (£8.5m) with 5.31 points. Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins (£9m) has blanked in his last two matches but looks set for a good week with 5.02 points.
Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne (£9.5m) also makes the list. The Belgian banked 12 points for his goal and assist against Ipswich. De Bruyne ranks eight in the top 10 with 4.93 points. Joining him is teammate Phil Foden (£9.5m) with 4.84 points. Foden failed to feature in Gameweek 2 due to illness.
Competing the top 10 FPL predicted player points for Gameweek 3 and matching Foden for points is Alexander Isak (£8.5m). The Newcastle striker faces an enticing clash with Tottenham at home this week.
