Who tops the list?
Erling Haaland (£15m) is predicted to return the most points this week with 8.62. The Manchester City striker dominated several attacking metrics last season when compared to every other player in the league including big chances. He faces newly promoted side Ipswich this week which is a fantastic opportunity for him to return.
Positions 2-5
Sitting in second place this week is of course Mohamed Salah (£12.5m) with 7.32 points. The Egyptian penalty taker plays at home this week, a venue that Liverpool are considerably stronger at in terms of performance.
Cole Palmer (£10.5m) is another player expected to do well with 5.68 points. Wolves lay ahead for Chelsea and although impressive offensively last season at times they ranked amongst the bottom six sides for several defensive metrics.
Penalty taker and talisman Son Heung-Min (£10m) also makes the top five. Tottenham face an interesting challenge this week. Everton kept the joint second most clean sheets last season so it may take something special to breach their backline.
Manchester City could have plenty of success this week. Ipswich may struggle to defend against last seasons highest scorers and if that is the case then Phil Foden (£9.5m) could contribute.
Who else features in the top 10?
Kevin De Bruyne (£9.5m) also makes his way into the FPL predicted player points for Gameweek 2. The Belgian looks set for 5.06 points against Ipswich this week. Matching him for points is Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz (£6m). Muniz blanked in Gameweek 1 but has a good opportunity to redeem himself this week with a clash against newly promoted side Leicester.
Joining his teammate Mohamed Salah in the top 10 is Diogo Jota (£7.5m) with 5.05 points. Trailing Jota is new Southampton signing Brereton Diaz (£5.5m) who faces a meeting with Nottingham Forest at home. Another new signing expected to do well is Dominic Solanke (£7.5m). The former Bournemouth striker netted a huge 19 goals in the league last season.
