Player VS FPL opponent Gameweek 27: Michail Antonio yet to score past Wolves
Blank Gameweek 27 will be another key week of FPL managers. We look at the next FPL opponent of various top players. In doing this we assess whether they have a good or bad record against them.
PLAYER VS FPL OPPONENT
Here is the data on how attacking FPL assets usually fare against their next opponents. Of course, a lot can change in the years since Striker A scored a hat-trick against Team B. However, if a player enjoys playing at a certain ground against a particular centre back, that could be useful information for the FPL community.
(Cristiano Ronaldo isn’t included because his 2003-09 appearances were too long ago to be relevant)
POINTS OF INTEREST
Josh King has scored in his last three starts against former club Man United, including Watford’s 4-1 win earlier this season. King is currently owned by just 8.1% of the game. He has failed to register an attacking return in his last seven Premier League fixtures.
Raul Jimenez netted the only goal in the meeting with West Ham in Gameweek 12. Jimenez has found some recent form with goals in two of his last three Premier League games before Gameweek 26.
Christian Benteke outdid this by netting twice in that round’s 3-3 draw at Burnley. However, Benteke hasn’t played any minutes for Palace in any of the last three Premier League matches. He also has no attacking returns since Gameweek 12.
Michail Antonio is yet to score in the Premier League against Wolves. With just one assist in the last six Premier League matches Antonio’s recent form will also worry his managers.
